For those of you "on the fence" or considering purchasing new DVC contracts , I believe the 15%, "Friends & Family" discount ends on 1/31/06. You need the name of an owner as a referall to get this discount. PM or email me, and I will be happy to give you my name/address as a referall. Bob

The 15% discount for friends and family is until the end of January, 2006. I called and asked my guide today.

Goofyhead44, I sent you an e-mail and a PM.
The 15% discount is for SSR and lasts until the end of January, 2006. You just need a current DVC member to refer you to receive the 15% discount on a new purchase. I think the current price comes to about $83.30 per point. The other resorts, if any points are available, are at a higher price. They are sold out so only once in awhile, points become available.

Promotions only applies to SSR. However, you can still buy other resorts through the resale market and pay very similar pricing (just takes a bit longer!).

This is true except it's important to realize all of the other DVC resorts expire in 2042 while SSR ends in 2054. I think it's worth it to add on or join in at SSR for the extra 12 years. I added on at SSR for this reason as well as being able to reserve a grand villa at the 11-month window. My other home resort is BCV and they don't have grand villas there. Annmarie
