I've just decided to take the plunge on buying at SSR...this is after deliberating buying into DVC for around 4 years!!!

Hi and Happy Thanksgiving !!

I too am about to join the DVC and would appreciate a referral. Before I sign on the dotted line, the only question I have for you DVC veterans ......do you see much of a discount staying at other DVC places outside WDW, such as Colorado or Utah for example ? I am not able to see how DVC prices these places. From what I can gather, the best discounts appear to be at the WDW properties.

Thanks to everyone who has offered me a referral. I have received between 5 - 10 responses from many helpful people. One thing I notice about this group is that everyone seems very enthusiastic about the DVC. After hearing from everyone Ireally feel this decison is becomign a no-brainer. Also, I have been searching the web for negative feedback on DVC and I simply can't find much at all.

I'm close to signing up, the Mrs. is just about on board. I think its a great deal; the only thing that I'm not crazy about is that the annual maintenance fee and the fact that it can jump dramatically year over year but despite that, I think the DVC is a great idea and an excellent value over the long run. It sure beats booking 2 rooms at the Pop Century
What's really amazing is that I'll be signing up to join the SSR for something like the next 49 years !!! What an amazing concept when you think about it.

Wife and I went to the visit SSR and fell in love. Met several folks in the parks that had nothing but good things to say, but nobody mentioned about the 15% discount for a referral and I did not think to ask them about it. Just remember that if the person already gave their name to DVC you will not get credit for the referral. But it doesnt hurt to help out a future neighbor.
