While planning my Jnauary 2004 meals like usual I picked alot of sitdown meals that are a little overwhelming. We need somthing that would ease us throw the middle of the week.

As much as we love going out to eat we need somthing "lite" to compensate for the hugh meals. We always go to Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD.

Thanks

Noshing around the world in Epcot is always a good choice :)

Flatbread pizzas at Mama Melroses, or the bruschetta, or the mozzarella tomato stack with a glass of chardonay, mmm...... :)

Split a burger and a shake at the Plaza at the MK.

I was also going to suggest the Plaza Restaurant... plenty of lighter fare options!!! You could also stop at Casey's Corner for a hot dog.... I have never been but I have heard it's quite good!!

I like the beef udon at The Yakitori House at Japan in EPCOT.

Try the smoked ham sandwich on warm pretzel bread at the fast food place in Germany, WS.

If you are going to be in DTD whenyou have this lite meal, I thought that was impossible in WDW!!LOL!! I would go for RFC.

We're going to try Spoodles for tapas next trip. I can't imagine eating big meals in the FL August heat!

I know what you mean about lite meals. We love the Brown Derby's Cobb salads for a lite lunch. It's great to sit down in AC and have something easy to digest that doesn't have fries on the side. They make the traditional Cobb salad and a seared tuna cobb salad - both are delicious! I never had anything else at the BD so I cant comment abouth the other food offerings.

another good lite meal is Peco Bill's in Frontierland. It's counter service, but its air conditioned and plenty of seating. They make a great salad and chicken wrap. We go there often for a quick lite bite!

Try the Galley Garden Salad at Columbia Harbour House at MK. It was so yummy that we had it twice in 3 days. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. :p It was large enough to be plenty filling, but light enough to "sit well" throughout the day.

You could try a kid's meal at the counter service places. Usually, they're plenty of food for me! :)

Sunshine Food Fair

Chicken nOodle soup and split the Italian sandwich. We are there last January and it was cold so we actually ate more than average on trips.

herc.

For lighter meals, we usually take advantage of whatever resort we are staying at has to offer. We are usually back there around lunchtime, so we usually grab something quick from the foodcourt and eat by the pool, or go to the lounge for an afternoon drink and split an appetizer. We also do the lounge/appetizer thing late at night too.

Yakitori House in Epcot is great for a light meal. You can finish dinner and still have plenty of room for a kaki gori. A stroll around Epcot is great for snacking.
