Went to the mall with friends after my orthodontist appointment.

Day one was wonderful!
My class is adorable, and they are active participants in my new "power teaching" theme this year. It was such a fun day! (Even in my bright blue man shirt)

Of course, it was so HOT today
we started to melt about 1:30!

Tomorrow every child will have a waterbottle on their desk, I guarantee it. That will be the one thing they remember from today.

i made a pie tonight!























blueberry, which is a very easy pie to make
and it is so yummy

DD10 has been pestering to make a pie since she picked blueberries
and i have been successful at putting her off until tonight


we have pie!

this may be my first ever
that was not just a frozen, bake it pie


or jello no bake pie
(those are surprisingly good, BTW)




and not counting peanut butter pie
which I do make
but you don't bake it

How did the pie go over was40?? I've never made blueberry pie. I love blueberries tho. How do you make your crust? I think that is probably the most complicated part and of course it's just not homemade unless you make the crust, right? I can handle the blueberries, sugar and some flour.... the crust is the tricky part
