It is an absolutely gorgeous late summer day in PA
warm, sunny

expected to be nice tomorrow and Sunday, too!

DD10 is packing up to go camping with friends

DH and DS are going to the first football game of the season tonight (high school football)

and I am just going to enjoy the delightful weather
maybe read my book outside in the gazebo!

DD13 is making a cake.

DS is making cookies.

I knew the sibling togetherness in the kitchen was going too well

(yes, I had already suggested they could make the SAME thing, but the was family will be snacking on desserts this weekend)

Yeah I'm finally on. Someone hacked into our ebay account so my dad had to fix that.

DD13 and I went to TarJay tonight

I got tension curtain rods
so I can make curtains and cover the bookshelves
in my classroom

very industrious ideas for the weekend!

Now, I just have to get the material to sew
I was thinking a few pastel colors
I have five sets to do, maybe pink, lime, purple....

will brighten up the room
(even though it is pretty colorful already)

though DH is talking picnic at the Was40 house
for the neighbors and a few friends

We just got home from a little shopping
got the fabric to make my curtains
so that is my plan for the afternoon

simple, pocket rod style
won't take long to make five sets, right????

We had lunch at Boston Market
this weekend
they have a half off coupon on the website

half off the family meals

we got half chicken, half meatloaf
and we have enough left for dinner

the cornbread was very good
and I loved the mixed veggies, too!

JoAnn is the only store around here that has fabric

DD13 got material to make her pants for home ec
cost $15 for the fabric, which almost made me choke!

I got fabric for five sets of curtains for seven dollars
you may know I am a bargain hunter.....

DD10 is at camp
so no one woke the Was40's up at seven AM

the phone woke us at TEN cool1:sleepin! )
it was Walgreens, reminding me to pick up my pictures

I had a free 8 by 10 there last week
fun to pay nothing to pick up!

Devon won't tell me how the series ends so I was forced to read it myself

I just had an amusing conversation with my roommate and neighbor on facebook and it made me miss being there even more! I didn't expect to love it this much but I am so happy I do!

Can you believe it!!! I feel like just yesterday is was January and we were booking our trip!

DD10 got homesick at camping
so we went and picked her up this evening


she said she had a good time
but she needed her own bed

she was almost asleep in the van on the ride home
and she was out cold by 8:50!


DD10 needs her rest!
I am sure that is why she was homesick
she was over tired!
