I made the curtains this afternoon

five sets
I will take a pic of them hanging in my room at school on Tuesday!

We are hosting a neighborhood picnic tomorrow

the last hurrah of summer
DH is closing the pool after tomorrows fun
(well, he will probably close it next weekend)

seems like we are going to use all our new patio furniture!
lots of folks are attending

We picked up DD10 at the campground

it made me so NOT want to be a camper
the lots were one on top of another
no privacy at all
it did not look like fun at all!

Much nicer to have a fire in your yard
with the kitchen handy
and your jacket if you need it
and a bathroom that has a flush toilet


ah, not a nature girl here
holiday inn all the way

DD10 is the acolyte at church tomorrow anyway
I would have had to get a substitute for her
if she had stayed at the campground






acolyte= candle lighter at the beginning of service
and candle snuffer at the very end before we leave

I just had an amusing conversation with my roommate and neighbor on facebook and it made me miss being there even more! I didn't expect to love it this much but I am so happy I do!

Can you believe it!!! I feel like just yesterday is was January and we were booking our trip!

Good that DD10 is back in her own bed this evening!

Camping is not something I have ever tried nor plan on trying any time soon.

Noone here maybe everyone slept in today.

Well, I didn't sleep in
but this is the first sit down break I have had all day


we went to church
DS went to work
DH and I went to grocery stores (not together)

He got the burgers ready
I got potatoes and broccoli casserole ready

then I tidied up the house
sweeper
spit shine the bathrooms

and got the pool ready for guests

this entertaining is a lot of work!

It is a beautiful day
the girls and six more are out on the deck
playing a card game (spoons)
and eating popsicles


I am working on my second frozen margarita
and all is well in the world

the glass is frozen on the outside, too

but those of you who know me
know I have a very low tolerance for alcohol

in fact
two has exceeded my good judgement
I hope I don't burn the dinner!

DS is working, but it looks like a rainy day so he might be home early
so we need to stay close so we can pick him up if that is the case



most of the party clean up is done
it started to rain a little after ten and that brought us inside
