You had my favorite meal at Le Cellier! The pretzel bread is my favorite too, but I LOVE the soup (of course, I like beer...... ). Sounds like you had a very nice afternoon walking around World Showcase, and from your pictures it looks like it was a beautiful day
Oh my gosh, I just noticed that you changed your location to
Flufferville!
Hi gelly! I'm all subbed and caught up!
And, I was right when I guessed Pflugerville. I didn't need the backstory afterall!
Looks like y'all are having a great time so far and your boys are really sweet. I hope that they will always enjoy sharing a birthday.
Looking forward to more of your story!
Enjoying your trip report!!
I saw your location on your signature and thought you were stuck
between a Rock (Round Rock) and a Weird Place (Austin).
I happen to live in the weird place.
I wish I could use those toll roads for work, but I-35 is the way I have to go.
Flufferville!
When you texted me that you finally got to see Wishes, i was soooo happy and excited for you!
i can't get over how Jack-jack is looking less like a baby in every picture i see of him... He is just growing up so fast!
i think you *should* have told the story of how you got their birthdays on the same day
You are doing super awesome at keeping your TR going! Keep it up!!!
lulu!
I can only imagine. Our beagle is a pure breed beagle and his nose really does lead him. He eats lots of things that are not edible. I'm not sure it's something he will grow out of. He is only a year old. We are looking for another dog though... Not sure I want one that eats the electrical though. Then we wouldn't have any sheets, blankets, socks, computer, or tv... I do have to agree that he is really good with the kids. My youngest can sit on him and he just lays there and tries to lick him.
How old is your dog? Did you crate train him? We have to leave our dog in the crate when we leave the house. He would eat everything if we didn't.
Joining in and really enjoying it so far!

EWWWW!! I wouldn't have eaten the pink potatoes either. I like my steak medium but I don't like the juices to touch anything else on my plate either. That's why I eat my side dishes first and save the tasty steak for last...no cross contamination.
I'll have to remember that!! I'm the weirdo that has to have my bites add up. One of each item, and I like to have equal bites of each thing til the end. So I don't know that I could eat the sides first. Hmmmm... But the pink taters grossed me out!
I am amazed by how much I missed in the world showcase when we were there last year!! I see other DISers posting their pics and half the time I'm like "where the heck was that in (whatever country) and how did I miss it?" Where is the Anne of Avonlea house? I never noticed that before.
I still see things on TRs and I'm like WHERE In the heck was that?! AND this was my 12th trip. The cabin is across the pond in the Victoria Gardens in the Canadian pavilion, back up on a hill kinda settled into the trees.
I'd like to compliment you on your photos. I think you do a great job capturing the disney magic and details...it really enhances the story. Keep up the good work!!
I can't take pictures. I mean, I CAN but they don't turn out very well compositionally...and I took a class!! My hubby took like 500 pics on our last trip and most of them were amazing. You can tell which ones I took...they suck.Just a warning for my TR...I don't think my hubby will take food porn pics so it'll be up to me.
Thank you!!! I'm kinda starting to dabble in photography. And I use the word dabble sparingly. I take a lot of shots and play with angles and have fun with it. I haven't had a class but did some research online before our last trip.
I STINK at taking pictures of people though! The food porn pics turned out better than I thought they were going to... I didn't use flash in the restaurants. I'm just not there yet... that whole LOOK at me people, I'm taking pictures of food! thing I can't get over. Not yet!
I told my daughter about Dash's tooth. She was very interested to find out if Tinkerbell really did stand in for the tooth fairy and wanted to know if he found something special under his pillow or whether it was just a regular old dollar. She has a loose tooth just starting and she doesn't want me to wiggle it much. I think she's hoping it'll fall out during our trip in April...although she's denied it.
Awww! That's so sweet that she wants to hear! I haven't forgotten about it, it just hasn't come up yet again the the TR !I'm afraid she's gonna be disappointed!
I love the pic of Dash colouring so intently...so focused. My daughter keeps going on an on about the masks. She doesn't want to miss them this time. We did the kidcot stations in future world but the kiddies take a looooong time with their crafts and stuff so my hubby and I were going spare waiting. Once we got to the world showcase we carefully steered them away from any and all stations so we didn't have to argue about them. (Hey, maybe that's why we missed so much in each country...to busy dodging kidcot stations...) I'm thinking of placating DD with a passport to get signed instead of the mask...not sure if she'll go for it though...
We, too, have avoided the masks and well as KP not wanting to take a lot of time. Since we had 3 days in Epcot planned this trip and it was just the 4 of us on 2 of those days we took the time. The Kidcot thing is not nearly as time consuming as I thought it was. They get a mask at one stop, color it, and then collect little hanging tokens that represent each country at each Kidcot station. So you don't have to sit there and let them color at each country!
Way to go!! You made me all nervous to try the Norway snacks!! DH and DD don't do coconut or almonds so it'd be a waste of a snack credit if neither DS nor myself like them either. I'm not too tempted by the pretzel so maybe we'll just try the school bread...the others can eat around the coconut if need be and the kiddies are quite fond of doughnut in general so this one might be a hit!!
The school bread was interesting. Definitely worth trying. The prezel was just a weird. I like German bakery pretzels better, but have never tried them at the German pavilion. Will have to do that next trip to compare. The school bread isn't like a donut, but like a french bread bowl kinda consistency, then filled with bavarian cream like stuff and topped with coconut. The coconut is definitely avoidable for those that don't like it!
I think it's great you sacrificed multiple Soarin' rides so you didn't have to be apart for so long. I LOVE that ride so I'd find it quite hard not to be so selfish. Both my kids are big enough to go on most of the rides and they tend to share the same sentiments regarding how scared or interested they are in each ride so we barely split up last time at all. I'm guessing this time will be much the same.
That's awesome that your kids' ride tastes are so similar! Sacrificing Soarin was an easy decision at the time. We had 3 Epcot days ahead of us and plenty of opportunities to ride again and I just wanted to spend time as a family that day! Knowing that my in-law's were coming in that weekend and I'd have to share Mr. I with them for the days they were there.
Can't wait for the next installment!!
Great update!! I missed the story of the boys' birthdays but would never ask. LOL! I do have two kiddos with their birthdays only one day apart (7/27 and 7/28) and I'm questioned about that all the time too.
I'm glad you were having such a great, low-crowd day in Epcot! I really want to try LeCellier next trip. I'd order the exact same as you.
Thanks twinnie! Glad you're still reading amidst all your busy wedding plans!
Jack-Jack is soooooooooo growing up. *sighs* Trying to enjoy it one day at a time!
You KNOW the story how they got here on the same day!
They knew everything about me. Where I was staying, where I was from, when I was leaving, what size underwear I was currently wearing, what size underwear I would need after 7 days on the Deluxe Dining plan.![]()
All caught up now! Loving the report!
Being from Texas myself.... "Flufferville" is just hilarious to me! Too too funny!
Can't wait to read more!
Yes, i do know - that's why i think you should share lol The best part is [CENSORED]
Wedding plans.... ack!too bad they're not as single-minded as Disney plans... i could really trade up for some ADR planning right now!
I LOVE that you put Flufferville as your location in your profile information! You are so stinkin' funny!
This comment:
made me laugh so hard Joe looked at me funny!
Don't ya just love a Boma breakfast though? Drooooooooooool. So, so good. And how lovely to have it SEVERAL times during your vacation.
Your boys are just adorable. I don't know how it's possible for a kid to get even cuter, but Dash is even sweeter with his new chompers!!
We are fans of the Epcot fountains as well. They are so pretty!
I am really enjoying reading you TR. Can not wait to hear what is next![]()
Glad to see another update!
Your experience at WPE sounds very different than ours. Yes, they brought our food to the table, but that was it. No refills. Dessert was brought at the same time as the food. Huh. Didn't even occur to us to tip there. Of course, they actually brought us someone else's food first...
It was definitely the most 'service' we've experienced at WPE. I think it was because they were so slow.We tipped but not as much as a full service. And there have been times we've been there that we didn't tip. I guess it's just one of those things, it depends on what level of service they give on each visit.
Crazy experience you had at Goofy's Candy Co! I didn't know about the one pretzel thing! Of course, based on your story, maybe it's good I didn't knowI was there about 5 minutes before closing and there was only one guy working there. I asked him what was a snack credit, he said marshmallows, so I got those
It probably is a good thing you didn't know. Course if Ethel had been the one waiting on me from the beginning, I don't think we would have had the issue. I'm not a huge marshmallow fan, and I love salty/sweet so pretzels are right up my ally! I think next time, if we are on the DDP again, that we'll just pay OOP for 3 pretzels, cus let me tell 1 was not enough!
You said you're not sure how people handle the sleeping kids on busses. I saw one strategy. Some people sitting near us had a couple of sleepy kids and spent the whole bus ride basically begging the kids not to fall asleep. They did manage to keep them awake. I thought it was kind of silly at the time, but on another bus ride, I saw a dad by himself with two daughters completely passed out on him and I really wondered how he was going to get off the bus (we got off before him, so I don't know).
I'm definitely glad my kids are 5 years apart!! I can't imagine doing it with two little ones. I totally get the whole you can't fall asleep on a bus thing, but it's so hard on little ones not to crash as soon as they hit the bus. One thing in our favor was taking breaks and sleeping in a few days. Mr. I and Jack-Jack had naps on this day, but Dash hadn't and we were out pretty late, so he was exhausted. I *think* that was the only time he feel asleep on the bus.
Cute pictures of the kids consuming their gigantic lollipop in bed!
Interested to hear what happens with the tooth. Hope you guys get to sleep in!
This is the cutest stinkin' picture!! Love that smile, he just looks so happy
Sorry about your one lousy pretzel rod - that's just not right!
great update twinnie! i'm so sad that the 3 pretzels aren't snack credits anymorethey were so freakin' yummy. Of course, there's a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory opening here in town soon... i'm in big trouble. They do Goofy's-worthy pretzels! And candy apples.... and fudge.... why couldn't they wait til after my wedding?!
Anyway, back to you. Love the picture of Jack-jack looking excited at WPE, and LOVE the pics of the boys sharing the lollipop stick. Really adorable!![]()
Noooooooooooooo-say it isnt so!
When did they change the pretzel rods to not be a snack credit? When we were there in August I seriously went to Goofy's 4 times in the 8 days we were there for pretzel rods.
I think it was new with the new year maybe? I dunno. I had read it here on the Dis before we went so it's been a while. You can still get one pretzel rod, just not 3. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!!!
I am so sad.
What will I use my snack credits for in the future?
I'm sure you'll find something else to use the credits on, and then Disney will probably catch on that we like something else and change it!I'm not really that bitter... and I can understand it from a business stand point. Just stinks for us pretzel lovers!
WPE is seriously one of the best places to eat in all of WDW.
It is!! I love it. So wish there were some in Texas!! A girl can dream, right? I dunno. Maybe it wouldn't be as special if I ate it all the time....
NAH! It would still rock!!
Oh, and thanks to your TR I changed our 3 days prior to our cruise in 12/2010 from CSR to AK!!!
Your update had me stifling laughs into my coffee mug the whole way through! Henry is still sleeping, if I would have let them loose he would have woken up!
Awwww!! Don't wake the baby!! And don't snort hot coffee!! So something I would do!
WPE...yum. Love it there! We used to have one at the Mall of America, but it's long gone. I never tried it when I could have! But I truly love their creme brulee. I was happy to hear it being served in an actual dish verses the foil dealy. I'm guessing it's a budget cut sorta thing - cheaper to wash a dish versus buying those!
I was happy to see it in a real ramekin too! Mr. I makes it... and we wonder why I'm not a size 2. But he only makes it on special occasions, obviously. He attempted it in foil containers for Christmas dinner this year because we didn't have 16 ramekins to make it the right way and it changes the cooking process and texture, imho. So I was DEFINITELY glad it was 'real' creme brulee.
I can't believe there was a WPE near you and you never knew it!!
The whole Pretzel Rod Incident of 2010 had me ROLLING! That is so very much something that would happen to ME! Joe would get 3, I would get one....I'd laugh, because it was funny, but be slightly miffed as well!
Glad you got a chuckle. I was so mad/amused/ticked off/laughing at my luck about those stinking pretzels. I just knew we were gonna get one over on Lucy and get 3 pretzels anyway after all that debate over ONE stinkin rod. BUT oh nooooooooo! Mr. Incredible gets 3... and the sad thing is, if I'd gotten 3 I woulda shared and he woulda liked mine. Whereas I really didn't care for his. He even told me I out orderd him on pretzels this year!
I got tears in my eyes with the bit about Jack-Jack and the bus! Similar things have happened to me as well with Henry. I always whisper a prayer of THANK YOU LORD! It's amazing when that stuff happens!
EXACTLY! That's exactly how I felt. And then you start to think.. what would've happened if I hadn't done that... So scary and so humbling at the same time.
The pics of the boys playing with the sucker are precious - one of those wonderful family moments that you have captured forever!
It was a fun night. We cracked up at them cracking up. Definitely a memory I'll cherish, among many from this past trip.
I would love to see Dash with his even newer chompers too!![]()
When i'm riding in a car with my mother and she has to brake suddenly, she still throws her hand out in front of my chest as though she could keep me safe.
It wasn't until a couple of years ago i realised that i do it to my sister and my fiancé, too.
We loved WPE, too! Definitely a great deal for a CS credit! Loved the pics of your boys enjoying the lollipop!
Denise
Just think of all the Rocky Mountain Chocolate you can have AFTER the wedding!! I was sad they didn't count anymore either but I guess they were losing money on them. The word had spread that they were a great deal for a snack credit. That's what generally happens at Disney right? As soon as a good deal catches on, they take it away!
Glad you're enjoying the pics!!! When are you gonna come see us?! huh huh?
