My disneymoon officially kicks off in ONE MONTH!! And I am trying to finalize our itinerary... I need some help, so here it goes:

Sunday, July 10th:
  • Leave our house at 5:30a
  • Flight leaves Indy at 8:20a
  • Arrive at MCO 2:09 pm
  • Check-in (what time??? When we get there?)
  • Shopping at DTD
  • Dinner at Narcoossee's @ 5:30 pm
  • More shopping
  • PS at Illuminations @ 9:00pm (Arrive 8:45pm)

Monday, July 11th:
  • MAGIC KINGDOM DAY
  • Dinner at CRT at 7:15pm
  • Watch Wishes
  • Get EMH Wristbands, stay for EMH

Tuesday, July 12th:
  • Tour Epcot all day
  • Dinner at Coral Reef @ 5:40pm
  • Head over to DTD to see Cirque De Soleil at 9 (arrive 8pm)

Wednesday, July 13th:
  • Typhoon Lagoon until 11
  • Lunch at RFC at AK @ 12noon
  • Go to AK, tour it for remainder of the day
  • Dinner at 'Ohana @ 8pm

Thursday, July 14th:
  • MGM Day
  • Fantasmic Dinner Package at Mama Melrose's @ 4pm

Friday, July 15th: Departure Day
  • More DTD Shopping
  • Dinner at Fulton's at 3pm
  • Be ready to be picked up at 6pm from AKL
  • Flight lands in Indy at 10:59pm

Now, I have some questions...
  • Can the waterparks be done in a half day? We'd like to do both, but the way I have looks like our best option.
  • If you have used the limo pick-up before, how long before your flight do they normally pick you up?
  • What time is check-in usually?
  • What happens if our room isn't ready? Can we leave our luggage there? So that we can go to DTD.

Thanks for the help!!

Hi Bride,

If you are arriving at MCO at 2:09 you room should be ready when you arrive at the hotel. And if it isn't you can check in and have them hold your luggage (I assume you're not using ME from your mention of the word "limo").

If you are indeed using a towncar service, you can tell them what time you want to be picked up. I would do it about 2.5 hours before your flight.

I'm not sure you can get a lot done at TL in 2 hours, especially on a summer day. But it's fun!

Bob

YES, you can leave your luggage if the room isn't ready.... I was told that we could leave luggage as early as 8 AM and use hotel facilities, trasportation etc.

I don't know about IF you can do both water parks in one day, but my suggestion is just pick one... I can't imagine that they are very different from each other you know? I haven't been yet, so can't say more.

I think you may be pushing it with your dinner time at Coral Reef and getting to Cirque on time. I could be wrong, just seems a little bit close!! Good luck and have fun... your plan looks great!

First of all...congratulations! Had our honeymoon at WDW 7 years ago and had a FABULOUS time!

Most resorts have 3 PM check in, but if you get there before you can check in and leave your baggage and they will move it to your room for you when your room is ready. We always do this.

Car services vary by company. You should call and check with them. The services that we have used have varied between 2 and 3 hours.

Water parks can be done in 1/2 day and you are doing the right thing going in the morning before it get's crazy busy...especially in July!

You itinerary looks great. Love Coral Reef and Ohana. Just a suggestion...if you want to eat later than 4 at Mama Melrose for Fantasmic Dinner Package...call back a couple weeks before you leave. We originally had to book an early meal too for our upcoming trip, but I called back last week and they had opened more times and I was able to get a 6:10 PM which works much better for us!

I was a bit confused about your Monday....you have listed dinner at Narcoossee's (which BTW is also great, we ate there too our first night of our Honeymoon and they brought us out a beautiful congratulations dessert!) at 5:30 and then "PS @ Illuminations 9:00". Are they doing something special now for seating or do you mean that you have another meal planned for then?

I would also suggest that on Monday before Wishes that you see the Spectromagic parade. It's beautiful!

Guess that's all! Other than...be sure to purchase the Mickey and Minnie bride and groom ears and wear them EVERYWHERE you go! It will bring lots of pixie dust your way for your very special occassion!

HAPPY HONEYMOONING!!!

We have the old Dream Maker Gold package, and we are using a limo...

Oh, I didn't mean in one day... I have it written as TL on the day we go to AK, and then BB on our departure day. Sorry that I wasn't too clear on that one. I've heard that they are different, so I want to make sure we do both... Out of all the times that I have been, I have NEVER been to a water park.

According to our package, we get PS's at certain FW shows and parades, so we made a PS to go see Illuminations on Sunday night, since we will be leaving Epcot early on the day we are there.

Thanks for the tip on Mama Melrose's... I'll have to be sure that I call then to try and get a later one. 4pm seems AWFULLY early for dinner, but we can always grab a snack later.

You leave Indy at 8:20 and arrive at MCO at 2:09??? Nice layover. (sorry, that just shocked me a little)

Another bit of info on the early check-in (if your room isn't ready)..... they'll actually give you your room key, so you'll be on your merry way. No need to return to the front desk when you get back from wherever.

Yea, that's what I said about the lay-over too... We're stuck in Atlanta (no offense, just heard horror stories) for like an hour and 20 minutes. We arrive in Atlanta at 11:25am and leave there at 12:45. Same on the way home too, we arrive in ATL at 9:40p, and leave at 10:27pm, not as bad, but still a really SUCKY layover!

How does it look now? One more question, the EMH bracelets from MK, how do we get these if we are having dinner at CRT at 7:15, will we be out in time to get these? Or what should we do?

THANKS!!!

I have a suggestion for Wed. Could you go to AK in the morning and the water park in the afternoon? It closes at 6:00 then you could go back to your room and change and go to your dinner reservation. AK is sometimes better in the morning because it is not so HOT!!

Other than that sounds like a great trip. That is where I honeymooned 7 years ago. We have been back 4 times since. Now with our son and it is a whole new experience! :)

You can get the EMH bracelets up until the time of EMH closing so you don't need to worry about that! :flower:

ok, I am probably much older than you(so I wear out earlier), but that looks like a heavy itinerary.
If you have to leave your house at 600, you have to get up even earlier(is this the night after your wedding?) and then staying up to watch illuminations after flying all day and walking around in the hot sun? I would be pooped and you need some energy for your honeymoon- LOL

on your other days, will you sleep in? Again, I would not be able to walk around Epcot all day in July and then enjoy a show that starts at 9. Your whole schedule looks busy to me except for MGM day.

Maybe you don't sleep much? :confused3 Just a suggestion- you may want to build in some optional down time.

I don't know if 2 hrs is enough for the water park either. I think it will be busy with lines and you won't be able to do much in that short of time.

I am not trying to be negative here, but what about showers and stuff? If you stay at TL til 11 and then have to get to AK by 12- will you have a car? I think the buses will take awhile. And if you don't have a car, you will have to build in extra time for travel into your whole week.

You need to take a longer trip! LOL

My parents never have a car, so we take the buses everywhere, and it's never been a problem getting from place to place.

As for everything else, I didn't put on my itinerary 'shower at 9am' because that's a given... I mean when we get up, we'll shower. And everyone else has said that we can do the water parks in 2 hours (what time do they open?), and if we can't, then we'll just do one, and make Friday 'Typhoon Lagoon' instead of 'Blizzard Beach' before we leave.

Yes, we leave out the morning after our wedding. Our reception is ending at 11, and we'll be to the hotel by 11:15. So we'll have a good night's sleep (for us) and we're leaving our house at 6, I sleep the whole way up to the airport anyways, and then I usually sleep on the plane. My FH is the one who is all excited about going so I doubt honestly once we arrive in WDW, he'll want to go take a nap (or anything else, lol). He's too excited. I was also thinking that if we did want to nap or something that we could sleep until about 3:30 or so, get up, shower, and be to the GF by 5:00 or 5:15. Then we could go to DTD or we could just head to Epcot.

I've done Disney in July before... From open to close, every day. I get tired, yes, but the rides and sitting for the parades and shows (and to go eat) let me rest. I'm not worried about being able to do all that we have planned. I know my FH, and since this is the first time he's been to WDW, I know he'll be game to stay the whole time. We've talked about splitting the days and going back to shower and chill out... But from what I've heard, if you're in the parks and go to eat, they understand people wearing 'park attire.' Or am I completely off?

Oh, BTW... We'd LOVE :lovestruc a longer trip, but we didn't pay for this one. And FMIL paid enough for this one, so we can't extend it any longer. Plus, FH only gets 1 week off paid.

Thanks for the advice though!
