It is on semi-formal night on 7 night cruises. We have found that it is not really good. It is warm water lobster and not tender like Maine lobster.
Depends in the season. The warm water lobster season here in Fl runs from August to march 31. After that they have to get it some where else.It is on semi-formal night on 7 night cruises. We have found that it is not really good. It is warm water lobster and not tender like Maine lobster.
I think they are talking about the difference between the caribbean lobster (clawless) and the north american lobster (has claws). The two have a very different taste.Depends in the season. Exactly. My die-hard "must have lobster" husband really doesn't care for the lobster on the ships. As noted they aren't Maine lobster (usually rock lobster) and they aren't steamed, but baked (much drier). It is on semi-formal night on 7 night cruises. We have found that it is not really good. As noted, it's only on those cruises that have the Captain's Gala menu (7 night and longer, I believe).
Can someone please tell me if lobster is served on the Alaskan cruise?
