We will be hopefully getting our date confirmed in just a few short weeks... FINALLY! I am just wondering what and when exactly happens after that? When/what do we get in the mail, and when should I expect to be assigned and contacted by my wedding planner. I hope it's soon after as it's been so hard waiting to do anything! I would like Disney to send our STD as soon as possible since people keep asking us what is going on, will these go out pretty soon after we get our date confirmed?

It all depends on your wedding date, if your reception will be at one of the convention venues (i.e. whitehall room) and you are more then 8 months out, then the LOA will be sent once you hit your 8 month mark. I think (not 100% sure) if it's a non-convention venue then your LOA can be sent to you at 12months, that's what I understood from my coordinator.

Once you do receive your LOA, Credit Card Authorization Form and Save the Date/website approval form, you review it and either fax it or mail it back. After, you coordinator will ask you to send him/her the guest list so they may send out the Save the Dates. According to my coordinator my Save the Dates will be sent out by the end of this month and should be receiving a call from my planner at the end of this week, FYI, I sent everything out last week on Monday.

I would definitely expect to receive a call from your planner once you send out your LOA in a week or two and the Save the Dates with in 2 weeks.
