LL Premier Pass is here!

Hi Dave thanks, they all have a one day pass for Magic Kingdom for the day that we will be booking. I can see all of their tickets in my MDE as well as mine and my sister. We are arriving a few days earlier so we have a two day park hopper for the day before and the day that we are hoping to get the LLPP. Fingers crossed that it won't be like Christmas and they sell out, it's a Canadian March Break that we are going.

While it is certainty possible that LLMP will sellout on a specific day or multiple days. It is less likely than what we saw for Thanksgiving Week, and Christmas thru a few days after New years day. Since March tends to multiple windows of groups visiting for Spring Break during the entire month of March. I do expect to see sellouts during Easter week.

Please stop back and let us know how your MK LLPP day goes. Good luck.

Dave

Those people were pretty much all already going to buy LLMP.
So really, it's the few rides which are most limited in LLMP/LLSP that will see any difference (for all the other rides, they were already getting on with LLMP).
And it's minimal - do we really think there are thousands of offsite people each day buying this? You're probably looking at a few hundred offsite LLPP purchasers per day. Spread out among all 4 parks. Spread out among all the open hours. For the 3-4 rides in each park that use their whole LL capacity every day. I just don't think that's that big an impact.
I think demand may be higher than you think for offsite. Here's why....If I compare the cost of staying at a Disney property, (which doesn't given me many perks these days, but it does mean that I may have a cooler instead of a mini-fridge and can expect to be disturbed during my afternoon nap) and an offsite hotel with with uber as my transportation....I suspect I'll find that I can save many hundreds by staying offsite. I can even take advantage of cheaper dining options offsite, too. I can then use those hundreds of dollars to buy premiere passes. To me, the value of premiere pass would outweigh the value of staying on property. It's the same logic as when people say they are skipping table service to pay for a LLSP. They are shifting the spending.

Agreed - but they are probably getting LLPP for 1 day, maybe 2. People aren't saving the $500 per day they'd need to buy for their whole family for a whole trip.

(I know they could save $500+ per day by not staying at an onsite deluxe, but the people moving offsite to save $$ were not the people who'd've booked deluxe in the first place.)

Just returned from WDW, using MP on a few of our days - worked well. Reminded us of FP days. We are a larger family and would never be able to justify adding such a high price tag for PP for any given day for all of us. Is there any truth to rumors that MP & SP will be eliminated...eventually leaving PP as the only option for the Disney parks?

LLPP is sold out at MK today, 1/31.
Wow! I checked Touring Plans, and they have MK at a level 5/10 today, so it's not predicted to be that busy. We often like to hit MK on Fridays, so I had to check. I haven't looked at other sites' predictions. I won't be at MK on a Friday until March, but I considered buying LLPP that day as it's Spring Break, and all bets are out the window. I will keep it in the budget.

LLPP is sold out at MK today, 1/31. This is a first ....a sellout on a non-holiday (and a slower time of year). Now we can start to feel the impact of it being available to everyone.
Well it only sold out this morning so not a lot of pre-planning. This is also a very popular weekend with the NFL Pro Bowl activities, UDA National Dance Team Championship that starts today, and the Epcot International Festival of the Arts.

I can imagine it being especially popular if you arrive a bit later in the day or have to leave the parks to do something else for the evening (or even just want to make it to Epcot for the festival)— since it allows you to do all LL rides in a half day.

I think it is also a matter of more and more folks learning about it as an option and/or just learning that they are actually able to purchase it (being an off site guest or non-deluxe etc). Sure - we knew about it right away ...but not everyone is like us 😂

Yikes. I suppose if I were renting a condo in the area, thus saving money by not staying onsite and likely arriving late, it might seem more feasible.

It's definitely not busy. Jungle and Space are both posted at 35 right now.
At this point in the year it is not about how busy MK is but guests that have disposal income or only time for a quick visit. The price of $329 vs $399 for the highest price this month is not a big difference if the guests are balancing time vs money.

Dave

Well, it's time for the price to go above $399. If they are selling out, they are leaving money on the table.
