LL Premier Pass is here!

We are interested in the LLPP for one day during our next trip. If we cannot buy it, we will more than likely buy LLMP/LLSP over a few days. We are two adults, DVC. We did not use Genie+ when it existed, and I like that there are no specific reserved return times. We are good with one ride per attraction since we normally ride something once in our day.

Disney itself has reported that the number of theme parks guests is soft.

As a long-time forum member, I can say 100% that many forum members have left this forum.

This past summer was particularly soft in Orlando. In response, WDW is now trying to increase per visitor spending with offerings like this one, and drastically cutting back on DAS. A number of forum members who do remain, have reported that they no longer visit, don't visit nearly as often as they once did. or they have drastically changed their visits. It is concerning that this new upcharge is coming so close in time to the drastic cutback to DAS.
I hate to be the one to break this to you, but Forums are dying everywhere. I happen to like the format, but every forum I am on be it sports, hobbies, etc are all in decline. Nothing about that is in anyway indicative of anything happening in the parks. Which by the way made the company 32 Billion dollars last year and was by far their best performing segment of their company.

They can easily price LLMP/SP higher instead
You still have to considerably slow down the standby queue if you allow a 25% reduction in LL through.

I don’t see how someone paying $400 a day will be happy standing in line with folk who only paid $30 to stand in the same line. I think Disney will have to decide which to offer

But the LLPP purchaser gets to ride all headliners while the LLMP can barely get 2 (tier 1).

We are perfectly fine waiting in the same lines as other LL users. The PP is more than just lines, it's the ability to arrive at the park with no planning. The biggest decision we'll have to face is probably whether to go right or left upon entering a park.

Yeah, you could argue that with the relatively few number of rides that you actually need a LL for, the most valuable aspect of the LLPP is the lack of planning constant phone-checking required.

Someone who is inexperienced may only be able to get 2, I have never had an issue getting what I wanted with LLMP. You just have to know the strategy
That might have been true with Genie+, but with LLMP (just started a few months ago so not sure how much experience people have going over holidays weekends) the tier system prevents that.

Let’s look at Tier 1 (BTM, JC, PP, SM, Tiana) ride availability (day of) right now:

None available except Space Mtn; this is on a low crowd day when waits are 30 mins! Highest wait right now is SDMT at 45 mins

Correct me if I’m wrong, but they aren’t releasing full ride availability are they?

Wow. Today is exceptional. HS all tier 1s available (but 7-8 pm) except SDD. Looks like WDW is finally operating both sides of TOT (low wait).

Let’s reevaluate over Thanksgiving.

I felt like I was utilizing the options available at Tokyo Disneyland Resort last week very well and they allow overlap of plans depending on what it is but I did appreciate how EP worked at Universal when we had it back in 2022 because I could just walk up to it instead of being in line at Pirates working with signal going out and thinking "it's time to book another 40th anniversary pass (or DPA)"

I do think talking about the exact number of LL someone would get when it comes to this product is like the apples to oranges thing. Granted part of it IS the ability to likely get a good number of rides done with LL but I think the main draw is Disney emulating Universal's Express Pass (the once through version).

If you've (speaking generally) never visited Universal before (and you don't need to have EP to know EP exists at Universal) you may not know that planning like Disney is not de facto how theme parks are. There is a market for people who aren't necessarily as concerned with how many LL rides they could theoretically get in if only they knew insider information (aka going to forums, blogs, youtube videos and learning the ins and outs of a system) and more concerned with having large freedoms and flexibilities especially the case if someone has visited other theme parks out there and used their passes, heck you (general you) may be more inclined to buy it if you have and found that way worked better for your traveling party.

From what I can see, this is the biggest issue with LLMP. For instance, I'm looking at Epcot data from Thrill Rides, and it looks impossible to get all 3 Tier 1's. Depending on where you enter Epcot, your strategy must be to Rope Drop Frozen or Ratatullie and try and try and snag a LL for Soarin' before they are all gone.

It sounds like the scheduling of activities has devalued the product then?
