Our trip May 9 - May 13 at the Polynesian Lagoon View
May 13- May 18 AKL Concierge
Our trip actually started the night before on May 8. We decided to spend the night at a hotel near the Atlantic City Airport, since we were on a 7:00 am Spirit flight and they recommend arriving 3 hours prior to flight time.
We actually wound up at the airport at 5:30 am. And the lines were horrific, both for check in and baggage screening. Definitely use the 3 hours they tell you.
Our flight was amazing. Both little guys were great. I highly recommend game boy and crayons.
We arrived at the Polynesian at about 11:00am. Was informed we received all our requests. Tahiti, ground floor. Our rooms were not ready and we were given a card with a phone number to call back. Luckily I had anticipated this and packed a separate bag with bathing suits. I figured we'd have enough time to change once we got back to our rooms and make our 5:00pm PS for Hoop De Doo.
Called at 2:00 Not ready
Called at 3:00 Not ready
Called at 3:30 One room was ready. Fearing not making it to Hoop De Doo, 7 of us crammed into the one room and showered and freshened up for dinner.
Later I was told the second room would not be ready till after 6:00, because the party in the room decided to stay till 5pm since they had a late flight. NICE
Hoop de Doo was fabulous. I highly recommend it. The food was fried chicken, ribs, beans, mashed potatoes, corn and a strawberry shortcake for dessert. I love those strawberry shortcakes. (My mother in law - hated it - of course)
Back to the Poly. It truly is beautiful. We walked out just in time for the Electric Water Parade. Sat in a hammock outside our room. It was wonderful.
On to Day 2.
