Livin on a Fantasy!! September 29, 2012 Disney Fantasy

Good morning, cruisers

We sail 9 months from today

Hi Everyone!

We will be cruising too!!

Me (Lori) and DH (Eoghan-pronounced own).

This is our 2nd Disney cruise! We have only been on a 3 nighter before, but we LOVED it!
Oct. 1st is my b'day, so we'll be celebrating! :cool1:

We are second seating dining.....

Just wanted to come in and say Hi! We are planning on doing a FE, how many are in our group so far? Last time we had a nice smallish group, but I think this one is going to be much bigger :scared1:

LOL...

I'm starting to think about excursions.....I should re-read this thread I think to refamiliarize myself with everyone!

OH! Are there any other adult only singles/couples in our group?

:goodvibes

Welcome aboard! Once you've done a 7-nighter, you will never go back to a 3-nighter again :lmao:

We're an adult only couple and I believe there are a few others. Check the first page, it has some information and a pointer to a web page for the cruise. There is also a facebook group you can join.

Thanks Sandy!

OH! I forgot, we're in 8178. I don't really like the location, but we originally were suppossed to be cruising Jan. 14, but I had been out of work for over a year, so we had to move it, and we chose this cruise! Not much was available when I went to book it!

Is anyone linking dining at all?

That's why we dropped down a deck to deck 7 (7086). I wanted a stateroom midships. Interesting that your choices were limited. I've been trying to get a gauge on how crowded this cruise is going to be, sounds like it is filling up.

Hey everyone...I promise to update the web page once the kids are back in school and add all you newcomers. I also have been managing a webpage for my MR cruise in 17 days!!! Anyhow all the info is on that page and you can find a link in my signature....I will try to update tonight if I have time......welcome all.....TTYL

We just booked this cruise today :cool1:!! There will be myself (34), DH (41), DS8 and DD3 (at time of cruise). It is the first cruise for all of us and we are very excited! Not sure about FE yet, but we are definitely interested. We are booked in a category 6A so not sure what our stateroom number will be yet. Can't wait to get to know everyone and start planning!

For those of you thinking about excursion (I know it's early), I just posted a video I found of Paradise Beach on Cozumel. The reason I mention this is because we stayed there in 2010 and loved it. They have since put a lot of money into renovation and upgrades, including a pool and a new bar area. I've already decided we're going back in September.

Oh wow, just over 8 months! :yay: I'd better start thinking about what I am taking! I like to plan early!! Time to check the January clearance racks for some nice evening and dinner wear and end-of-season summer stuff! Never pay full price when I have to! :cool1:

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. 2012 will be the best when we sail on the Fantasy!!

Hi all, I have some bad (well, not really but kinda) news about my husband and I.... we had to change our cruise date! :sad2: I say "had" because when they moved the Wine and Dine half dates we had a very hard decision to make... to either give up the great price we had on the cruise and sailing for our first anniversary or give up on getting our coast to coast medal! I wish Disney had not released their dates for the run and then changed it, but we all know the nature of the beast! $500 more or no, we both know since we are definitely doing the Tink it will be much easier to not wait until another year and would be more bummed about missing out on the C2C!

We are both now booked on a November 3rd cruise (at least it is "special" in that it is one that goes to Puerto Rico!) instead and will not be able to participate in this cruise's meets or FE. :sad1: I do hope that the cruise is wonderful for all of you and that you all have a great time! Please keep her in good shape for us later birds! :flower3:

We did Paradise Beach in 2009 and loved it too. As of now, we are planning PB in Cozumel too.

Oh, that's too bad...but Puerto Rico sounds amazing :)

Hi guys!:wave2:
I only read the first few posts of this thread but I already saw a few passengers sailing that are the same age as my DD! Yay! She will be 13 at the time of sailing.
We also have 2 boys. One will be almost 3 and the other 4 1/2 at the time of sailing. There is also myself and DH.
We have done a 7 night on the Magic back in 2009 but our middle child was sick the whole time so it wasn't a great experience. DD stayed with her grandma for that one b/c she wasn't interested in a cruise and didn't want to miss school. Our youngest wasn't born yet back then.
Really excited about the new ship!
I didn't want to join a meet until the rest of the 2013 itineraries come out, but it looks like they are going to be super duper expensive, so I think we will end up sticking with our good ole Western Carib on the Fantasy. We'd love to see the ship anyways!!
We are in rooms 7000 and 7002.
Nice to meet everyone!:surfweb:

Sorry- Guess I should have put our names:

Jennifer- me
Jordan- DH
Ashlyn- DD13
Anderson- DS4
Harrington DS2

Welcome aboard. I think your DD will be happy she's going on this one.

How far is Franklin from Memphis? We have very good friends from Memphis, who we first met on a Disney cruise back in 2003.

Welcome aboard.

I will be leaving on the Wonder on Sunday. However being in the crazy days before leaving weds for LA, I probably won't update the webpage but I promise when I return to get everything done. Hope you all have a great week!!!

Franklin is a suburb of Nashville. We just moved here in october from charleston so I haven't ventured anywhere else in the state. I want to say its about 2 hrs to Memphis. Nice to meet u!

I went and changed our room location to 7572. I really wanted to be on the Starboard side for when we are at Castaway Cay and I got lucky because 7572 is a non-connecting room. It's right off the elevator lobby, but we've had staterooms like that before and it was never a problem.

Has anyone stayed in a room all the way forward? We have 2 connecting ocean view all the way forward. Not sure how I feel about it.

Not on DCL, but on our first ever cruise on the Carnival Fantasy, coincidentally. Whenever you are that far forward, you will fell the motion more that if you were midships or aft. This Fantasy is a lot bigger than the Carnival Fantasy, so I'll have to let those who had experience speak for a fact. You can also check the room reviews at http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/cruise-new/roomreport.htm and see if anyone stayed at the respective room on the Dream.
