Hi All,
I know that some of you have been waiting for my review of this tour. So here it goes.
My husband and I took this 3hr tour this morning. You meet outside of EC at the Guest Relations window. They tell you to be there at 9:30am as the tour starts right at 9:45am so you do not have to be early for the 9:30am time just make sure you are there by 9:45am.
The tour was out of this world. You are taken into backstage areas and there are woman's and men's locker rooms. You are given a locker key, a wetsuit with booties and towels. After the tour there are showers with soap, shampoo and conditioner provided in the woman's locker room. My husband tells me that just soap and shampoo in the men's.
A large part of the tour is educational but we found it to be interesting and informative. I think that is why the age limit is 13yrs or older. You are no allowed to take anything with you into the back area. You must leave all of your belongings in the locker. Read as NO PICTURES!!!
We actually had a guy and his wife and two kids show up and only the guy had paid for an registered for the tour. The wife and two kids, who looked under 13yrs, thought that they could just follow him on his tour and take pictures.
I thought that the head cast member, Becky, handled this well and she ended up giving this guy a refund and sending them on their way.
As far as the interacton with the Dolphins go. It is beyond words.
We got to touch and interact with both dolphins. They are both male and their name are Rainier(sp?) and Calvin. Calvin is the
younger and more playful of the two. Rainier is in his mid twenties and Clavin is only 10. We got to touch and interact with both. It was truely amazing. Being able to feel the heartbeat of the Dolphin was an experiance of a lifetime.
You get a teeshirt and a picture. They can take either one or two people with a dolphin. But, each person gets there own picture. So my husband and I had our picture taken with both of us holding Calvin and then we each got a picture.
The tour is $150 per person and there are various discounts avaiable my husband and I were able to book this using the Disney Visa promotion of 20% off which I do not believe is running anymore but, it could not hurt to ask.
So in conclusion this is a must do in our view and worth every penny.
Please feel free to ask any questions you have.
