Well last night we ate at chefs de france in epcot but didnt stay for the fireworks, drove back to the room to security everywhere

We had a fire in our room while we were out, managed to salavge what we could and they moved us to a different room

Spending the morning cleaning and washing all our stuff as most is smoke damaged and smells very bad

Glad nobody was hurt. Hopefully you can enjoy the rest of your trip

At least you were out and not asleep in bed, would be a shock to wake to.
Shout if there is anything we can do.

What kind of plastic? Washing up liquid, mixed to a strong solution with very hot water and left to soak should work. Failing that I don't really know. It probably depends what it is. I'm glad none of you were hurt and that you weren't in the room at the time. Hope you're all feeling okay and able to enjoy the rest of your trip

O.M.G I'm so so sorry to hear about the fire in your room how awful for you all must have been a horrid shock! I was really loving hearing about your twins experiences with the characters I have twin boys and remember so clearly their 1st trip at 16 months.... Magical and brilliant when they started to let the characters near them without screaming of course their older brother was just as scared as them so no help to us at all lol. I really hope that you manage to salvage anything important to your girls (like any toys) an that your insurance pays out! Sending loads of :& pixie dust!!! Hope to hear some more of the wonderful stuff.........

So sorry to hear of your misfortune but glad you are all uninjured. From my experience things that have been close to a fire are ingrained with the smell and it is difficult if not impossible to get out. It does get less over time and in some things it will disappear completly but this is a slow process. With more fabric type items that will not wash I have put them out to blow int he fresh air with limited effect but not sure that will have much impact on plastic.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday and I hope the insurance comes through for you so you are not out of pocket for this. Hope you find lots of Disney magic so this does not feel so bad later on.
