Thanks for the report. I hate to hear that about Cap'n Jacks. We really liked that one. I'm happy to know not to waste our time now if it has gone downhill, though. I wondered about Boma. we are booked at Kidani V. in June and I was hoping to hear about it. I know we need to make ressies in January so I'm starting to take notes. We want to try some more places, but hopefully will establish some favorites. We liked most of the places we tried on the DDP last year.
In regards to Capn Jacks and Boma, both are my personal opinion. Others may see it differently. DW really liked Boma. I do know for sure that Capn Jack's menu has changed since our last visit in July. I giess that I expected more fresh seafood.
Today started off really different. We had promised our guide that we would drop off some Owner's Locker literature since folks over there weren't really familiar with the service.
On our way after dropping off the information and passing the DVC kiosk, we ran into the guide who was operating the kiosk at Old Key West when we first became members. We were chatting with her when she called out " Mr. Lewis, can you come over here please?" It was Jim Lewis, President of DVC and once we were introduced, we had a nice conversation. It's nice when a busy exec has time to talk to the members.
Today was Animal Kingdom day and it went well. We had a chance for a few rides and got to enjoy the parade. After returning to our house at SSR for dinner, we decided to get on over to Hollywood for Fantasmic. We got really great seats and were enjoying a great show although I thought that the water spray was aggravating. Turns out that it wasn't from the show but rather from the sky. About halfway through the show, the skys opened up and the show was cancelled. Oh well.
Back to SSR.
Interesting thing I found out about my TIW card. We stopped in at Artists Pallette when we got back to pick up just a a bottle of wine and an iced tea. The guy saw my TIW card in my lanyard card holder and said that I got the discount on grocery items too. Didn't know that. I just figured that it was only good for food items like the flat breads. So that means that the $35.00 I spent on groceries a couple of days ago at the same place would have been $7.00 less. DUH!!! I wait until our last day to figure that out. That makes the TIW card even more of a good deal. Plus it works at most CS places which negates the complaint people have about the automatic 18% tip at TS restaurants.
