Live from WDW, Nicki & Todd do the F&W and 10 days worth of food!!!

So big suprise here, DH decided to cancel Chefs de France, his reason is the same as always....He just isnt feeling it. How the heck to you feel a restaurant?!

So I said ok smart guy go ahead and make our plans. He said lets do more F&W and he really wanted his shrimp fried rice from China CS. Ok fine with me, there was still alot of stuff we have not tried yet.

First stop was Turkey for Meze and Manti. Meze consisted of marinated tomatoes and cucumbers which DH inhaled and said it was excellent. There were 2 pita wedges and the most amazing eggplant hummus like dip, I licked the little plastic cup!

MKThursdayNight020.jpg

The manti are beef spiced raviolis with sour cream, there were excellent and lucky for us they give you 2, that way DH and I did not have to fight over it!

MKThursdayNight021.jpg

At Greece we had the spanakopita and the greek salad. The salad was amazing but the pita chips were too hard for me so DH ate them. The spanakopita is my favorite, just crammed with cheese and spinach.

MKThursdayNight023.jpg

Poland, I really wanted to try the vodka raspberry cocktail but they were out so we waited about 15 minutes and still zippo, will have to catch that tomorrow. DH loves pierogies so he got that with a bite of kielbasa, he loved it

Poland.jpg

Chile had an amazing spicy beef empanada, it was delish!

Argentina.jpg

At Puerto Rico we had the best, the creamiest, the smoothest, the most decadent pina colada we have ever had...yes they are expensive 6.50 for this dinky cup but omigod it was amazing.

MKThursdayNight025.jpg

Ever since I saw the episode on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives with Guy on the FoodNetwork I have wanted to try mofongo. DH and I fell in love with the mofongo tonight. It reminded me of a stuffing but not dry and not heavy. It is mashed plantains with pork cracklings and garlic served with shrimp salsa on the side and mixed together POW! What a taste!

MKThursdayNight026.jpg

Back over to the Mouse Catch for more cheese for DH, he loved the asiago and manchego.

MKThursdayNight027.jpg

Over to China for DH's peach oolong ice tea (so good and refreshing) and the shrimp fried rice with a pork egg roll. He said it was very good and the egg roll was amazing.

I had to get another piece of sausage pizza from Italy, it was that good!

MKThursdayNight004.jpg

Then we wandered into the wine area of Italy and it was there that we stumbled across a fantastic wine, Rosa Regale. I cannot believe that I have not tried this before, it was out of this world! I had one glass that we shared and then promptly ordered another one. They gave us a few pieces of dark chocolate to nibble on between sips...the taste was unlike any other wine I have tried, I cannot wait to go buy a bottle to take home!

MKThursdayNight009.jpg

We wanted to wander over to Norway for the new school bread but it started to rain so we went back to the BWI to watch the fireworks from the balcony, which just ended by the way. DH wanted a snack for the room so we went to the candy store but not much there at all so I picked up some lollypops for the nieces.

MKThursdayNight003.jpg

Now it is raining pretty lightly but enough to get everything wet and the boardwalk is super slippery if you wear flip flops. People were falling all over the place, DH had a firm grip on me because I am a klutz by nature, add a bit of rain to the mix and look out!

DH wanted a cookie, they are out of cookies, DH wanted the chocolate vanilla pretzel twist cookie and they were out of said cookie, DH wanted the pumpkin cheesecake he saw last night and they were out of that too.....DH was getting cranky so I said just give him a cupcake and a milk and that will be all. I swear a 35 year old is getting agitated over a COOKIE!? Gotta luv him!

MKThursdayNight019.jpg

I had a bite, the frosting is very dense and not too sweet at all. The cake is super moist and he was a very happy puppy, at least for the time being....come talk to me about it tomorrow!

So now my love is snoring away, I am watching Grey's Anatomy and wondering how bad the weather is going to be tomorrow. They say 80% change of rain all day, might sleep in and grab something from BW bakery, may go to HS and bounce around Epcot or something. We have no breakfast or lunch plans but we will be going to Cape May tomorrow night, he loves those littleneck clams!

Since we are eating here on Saturday night DH wanted to check out the menu. Lots of new stuff and he is super psyched on the cavatelli and sausage (his fav) and I am dying to try the pumpkin ravioli....never had them before!

Ok its a date! We are planning on Oct 16-25 2009 at the BWI baby!

Excellent update as always :thumbsup2

If you need anything else from the bakery, the Cheesecake Brownie is to die for :worship: Ok, it's probably so bad for you that ....never mind ;) It's really rich but oh so yummy! It's great for an evening snack and the leftovers are really good for breakfast :woohoo:

Hope the weather won't be too bad, maybe some :pixiedust: will help

Oh Nicki I am so glad you found Rosa Regale. It is one of THE best things to have with a picece of chocolate on a lazy Saturday night at home (or heck any night really!!). You can save a bit of money if you get it at Whole Foods instead of Epcot though. I bought a bottle of it in June then came home and saw it much less here and was so happy because I can get it any time I want and I think of Disney now anytime I buy it.
I am so glad you like it though because if you love that and I love that the chances of me loving that pink stuff is even better!:rotfl:

If you get a chance, try the other dish at Puerto Rico. There's one with plantains and beef. The mofongo was good, but I was with 2 others and the 3 of us agreed the other dish was better.

Thank you :cutie: Please post your pic too!

Okay...didn't have a PhotoPass one at home to take picture of (they are on my desk at work). Here's one from Crystal Palace:

Anyhow hope your having fun and the rain isn't putting to much of a damper on your day!! At least it isn't storming like summertime...you could always wear the most fashionable Mickey poncho and play dodge the raindrops...Have fun!!:yay:

We have a new Whole Foods in Naples, I will have to see if they carry it, the cost here in Epcot is $25...I hope you like the pink stuff as much as I did and I hope the CM isnt a snooty pooty to you!

If you get a chance, try the other dish at Puerto Rico. There's one with plantains and beef. The mofongo was good, but I was with 2 others and the 3 of us agreed the other dish was better.

I will try and fit it in!

You guys are adorable! You will love F&W. My tips are to share everything, except booze of course, and spend as much time there as you can!

Keep it coming! I can't get enough of this stuff. :worship:

Glad you are enjoying it!

Oh cool Publix, we have one right down the street from my house and when we go home on Sunday I have to go grocery shopping so hopefully I can add some cheese and wine to my cart!

No it is not bad at all! It was drizzling pretty good by 8:45 last night, raining off and on all night and most of today.

Enjoying the reviews! Thanks and keep it up!

Thanks for reading!

We were up early this morning and it was raining, big suprise. DH wanted to go back to HS for the morning, hop over to Epcot for a bit and snack for lunch, again SUPRISE SUPRISE!

We were at BW Bakery early but the line was out the door, it moved pretty quickly tho....DH ordered the standard Nescrape and I had an OJ. I really wanted some good fruit and the small mini cups were yucky looking so we got the big bad mutha...it was only $2 more than the dinky cups of fruit and it looked so much better! I brought the leftovers up to the room for a snack later.

EpcotFriday019.jpg

DH went for the bacon egg and cheese croissant and while it was loaded with bacon and he liked it he said he prefers the ham one from Main Street Bakery instead. He likes the ooey gooey cheese with the ham and the folded egg, the one with the bacon had a slice of yellow cheese and it wasnt melted and the egg was a scrambled type that did not stay in the sandwich.

EpcotFriday021.jpg

And he had to have a chocolate croissant, he had them nuke it for 20 seconds so it was nice and warm and melty. He loved it.

EpcotFriday020.jpg

So we went away pretty happy, probably going to have breakfast there again tomorrow too!

We went to HS, the place was pretty busy because of the new HSM3 parade but we did the new Toy Story attraction again, 45 minute wait which wasnt bad at all. Did a few more things and went back to Epcot by noon.

i've been enjoying your live reports! i did have a question - you mentioned you are an annual passholder - is the 40% off better than your passholder rate?
today i got a 40% off value resorts from disney destinations (email) - is that how you got your discount?
