Live from WDW, Nicki & Todd do the F&W and 10 days worth of food!!!

You are so sweet! You are a great friend to have as well! You have got to let me know what you are planning on eating so I can add it to MY plans for next year too! In January with the kids we are planning on Tusker House, Princess, CP and Ohana breakfasts...they love characters so these seem like winners. For dinner I have Coral Reef, Tony's and right now Whispering Canyon but I really really really do not want to eat there....any suggestions for a kid friendly dinner?

Thank you!

As of now (until you change my mind again) our plans for next year are: Breakfasts -- Crystal Palace and Boma; Lunch or Dinner - LeCellier (my DH refuses to miss this one), Spoodles, Plaza Restaurant, Yak & Yeti, 50's Prime Time (this one could easily be changed) and Biergarten. But like I said, you might change my mind again as I keep reading your reviews.
As you know, we thought WCC was way overrated and my husband got sick eating the skillet. However, a lot of people love it (we saw none of the antics that everyone talks about--and not just because we were seated in the back room...we sat for over 30 minutes waiting for our seat and nothing was going on while we were there). Our kids haven't traveled with us as "youngsters" in 8 years so hard to say. They always enjoyed 50's Prime Time and Sci-Fi? How fussy are the kids as far as eating? We've never done Beaches & Cream, but have read good things. I personally prefer the buffets for breakfast rather than dinner.

That room at the Boardwalk looks fantastic! Oh how I wish Disney would float me one of those 40% off deals!!

Today was another MK day. I did not think it would be too busy since it is a MNSSHP night and this past Tuesday (party night too) the park was empty. We walked down to the bus stop, only 10 people boarded the bus to MK and then on to the Swan and Dolphin to pick up another hoard of people :goodvibes

We cancelled GFC breakfast because we were not that hungry, I really wanted to eat there but I will put it on our to do list for the next time we stay at the Poly or hopefully the GF. Sometimes it is just to darn hard to get to all these resort places and you waste a bit of time. DH is just too pooped to pop sometimes and sometimes, not all the time but sometimes, I feel guilty running him to death

We entered the park with zero lines at bag check, zero lines at ticket entry and then onto Main Street, again super low crowds and super gorgeous breezy cloudy weather. We beelined to the Bakery and there was about 30 people or more in line, the line was out the door BUT it did move pretty quickly.

Here are pics that I took while waiting in line.

I knew I wanted that ham, egg and cheese croissant. DH was torn between the big as your head cinnamon buns or french toast loaf so he ordered both. Yes ladies and gentlemen my carb lovin man ordered both sweet pastries, but you know I had to dig my fork into them too! We ordered a OJ to share and fruit to share and DH had the Nescrape coffee.

The croissant sandwich is amazing. The ham is not too salty, the egg is moist and the cheese is in the egg so each time you bite into that darn thing your mouth is filled with ooey gooey yummy cheese, the croissant is good too!

MKThursday011.jpg

The fruit was ok, not the best I have had but the grapes were nice and crunchy and sweet.

MKThursday008.jpg

Just as DH ordered his sweets they brought out a new pan of cinnamon buns and the CM asked if we liked inside or outside....DH said give me the huge one right in the middle, so he did! This gargantuan treat was so good, soft and melty and cinnamony and sugary and wonderful since it was so fresh and hot.

MKThursday007.jpg

The french toast loaf is my favorite breakfast treat. I like the bottom of it because it is crunchy and the sugars have caramelized giving it a sticky texture and DH loves the middle since it is super soft and squishy and sooooo wonderful.

MKThursday009.jpg

My favorite CS breakfast joint around, cannot go wrong with this place!

I want these same exact things from Main Street Bakery. :rolleyes1

A brand spankin' new middle-of-the-pan cinnamon roll? YUM!!!

After breakfast we headed to Adventureland where everything was a walk-on. THen to Frontierland where Splash Mountain and BTRR were just 15 minute waits and then to HM which was a walk on.

The chaos started with Peter Pan and was nutso until Winnie the Pooh. We did walk on to Mickeys Philharmagic which is one of my favs. After that DH spied a pretzel and the boy cannot pass a pretzel stand without getting one.

These were super fresh and soft and doughy and loaded with salt.

After a ton more rides it was time for Cosmic Rays lunch and then back to the resort for pool time.

Cosmic's was not that busy at all, they have expanded the burger line into the sandwich line so the burger lines do not get all backed up. I wanted a hot dog, DH wanted a cheeseburger.

The hot dog was ok but the buns were way to dry and fell apart as you ate it. The fries were awesome made even better with CHEESE SAUCE! I also had my first diet coke of the trip! Um...for those of you that wanted pickles but saw this guy taking them all, well um that was my DH and I pretended not to know him!

MKThursday016.jpg

MKThursday015.jpg

DH's burger was gross....gross burger, gross bun and gross plastic cheese. He ate it, I have no idea how, but one bite for me and I bit into those hard little thing and that was enough for me!

MKThursday014.jpg

Next time I will try something else but I really wasnt overly hungry at the time.

On the way out we stopped at the candy shop and while DH was trying to find some lollypops for our nieces I went picture happy.

:lmao: :rotfl2:

Ooey gooey middle cinnamon roll and the french toast loaf, where is the drooly smilie when you need it! It looks and sounds so good :goodvibes If only you could have a good cup of coffee to wash it down with

What are tonights plans? And what do you think Todd will turn them into?

I just have to say I love your reports. Your last report made me add Boma and Cape May for breakfast for my trip in December.

Now I have a whole new list going: Jiko, Fulton's, and Flying Fish-sounds like a good reason to book another trip-better get to that right away:idea:

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you love Boma and Cape May as much as we do!

I love your reviews. I'm glad you enjoyed Flying Fish. We ate there our last trip to WDW in May and it was our favorite meal of the trip. We have ADRs for FF during our F&W visit in 2 weeks.

BTW your reviews of the F&W Festival booths are wonderful.

Thank you! I love love love FF and cannot wait to go again. I think we are going to finish off F&W booths for lunch tomorrow but there is a 80% chance of rain all day.

Sounds like a great line up! Sci Fi sounds like a great idea!

I hope they give me another deal like that!

Can you believe he offered DH his pick? That was crazy, the pixie dust is a flying all around us on this trip!

Oh honey dont go there! :rotfl:

I had Raglan Road booked but changed it to Chefs de France because Todd doesnt want to ride buses all night to and from dinner. Now he says that he might want to snack the countries or eat CS in Epcot instead. I am very easy (ssshhh dont let that get out) and flexible but I just wish he would make up his darn mind and stick to it!

I do know that I want another fizzy pink drink from France....other than that I could eat anything!

Now I want a snack, but nothing is gonna be anywhere near as good as the pics from the candy shop :sad2:

Love the photo pass pictures! Such a cute couple :lovestruc

Then it was back to Austria for the Tafelspitz aka brisket and potatoes in a horseradish sauce....DH loves this and I was too busy slurping the tea to notice that he ate it all!
