We are here at WDW as I type . I can't believe we finally made it.
Last night we ate at Kona. Both DH and I had the Terriayki fillet. It was cooked to a perfect medium. It was delish as always with the only thing to note was that I had to cut away about 2 ounces of fat around it. This comes with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Both had great flavor . The bread and honey butter was incredible . We were so full we did not want dessert. This was our travel day so we were not on the DDP yet.
Service- our server was Tammy. She was very attentive and sweet. She couldn't converse much. I think she uncomfortable with English. But she kept our drinks full and didn't rush us. We drank our tea and listened to the music playing close by. Lovely.
I have to comment the line for O'hana looked scary!
Gotta go for now!

Sunshine Seasons-CS
DH had the Salmon and I had the Rotissere Chicken.

The salmon had a delicate flavor, not too heavily spiced. It was cooked through but not dry.

The chicken had a slight hint of tarragon and the skin was not overly salted. In my opinion, it could have used a pinch of salt. The breast part was juicy and had flavor.

For dessert we had the fruit tulip and the strawberry shortcake. The fruit tulip fruit was sweet enough. I hate sour fruit on a dessert. The strawberry shortcake was sweet and creamy. Both were very good. It is hard to choose dessert there, there are so many choices.

Tonight we are eating at Tutto Italia. We will see how they rate. Well we are waiting for the Expose concert to start and it is breezy and beautiful tonight at EPCOT.

Later!

I'm planning on eating the salmon at Seasons in a few weeks (I love that it is now in weeks!). Every review I've read on it has been positive.

Good morning and welcome to a rainy WDW day
Last night we went to Tutto Italia

DH had the meatball appetizer. I tasted one and they had a sweet tomatoey taste. Yummy. I had the Insalada Mista. Yuck yuck yuck. It was like a biter cole slaw

For the entree I had the Buscatti and DH had the Lasagna. At first I thought it wasn't going to fill us up. I finished all mine and was almost full. The sauce was a heavy cream sauce with a smokey flavor. The prochutto (sp) was toasted a crisp. There were not too many peas.

The lasagna was meaty and sweet. It was very heavy, but so good. I wanted to take it with, but DH didn't want to carry it.

For dessert, I had the copetta. It was berries on th bottom zabligone gelatto in the middle with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. It was amazing until I bit into a sour berry. Pucker up baby. I hate sour fruit.

DH had the Zuppa Ingese (sp) It was creamy inside with cake under. It was covered in sweet meringue. He said it had candied fruit mixed into it. I did not like it but he finished it.

Simona was our server and was very attentive and nice. She is returning to Italy soon. The manager came over to check on us and the food was served hot and at a good pace.
Well the rain is slowing, I will write about Mama's Fantasmic tonight. I don't know where lunch is yet.

I am combining today's dining reviews.

First our snacks- pastries and latte from Starring rolls. We shared a onion bagel which I couldn't get toasty enough for my liking but was still filling. We also shared a cherry turnover. The cherries were a little tart but it was good. We also had a Irish creme latte while the rain let up.
This trip is very non-commando so we sat for a while.

The rain kept coming so we had lunch at Pizza Plant. We both had pizza, salad and rice crispy treats (We saved the treats for later) It was all ok. We sat outside and people watched under the awning until the rain slowed.

The day got better and we got in a lot of shows before our Fantasmic dinner at Mama's.
We shared the bread and spreads and a calamri appetizer. My favoritre spread was a sun dried tomato puree. The bread was just hard breads of different varieties, but they kind of all tassted the same. I liked the flavor of the roasted artichoke heart . I would definitely order it again. The calamari was ok but it seemed soggy. The humidity is so high today, they might not be able to keep stuff chrispy.
For our entrees, DH had the Pork Marsala and I had the chicken parmasean (sp). We both shared. The pork was very good, tender and moist. The rissoto was pasty. My chicken parma. was very tender. It had enough sauce and not too much spaghetti. But, again it was not crisp. I did enjoy it anyway.
For dessert, I had the cheesecake and DH had the Tiramisu. I tasted the Tirmisu and though it had gorgeous presentation, it didn't have flavor. On the plus side, my cheesecake was amazing. It was a firm and creamy style, like a Chicago style, with a honey nutty filling. The strawberry was also very tasty. I want more.

Now for service, our server was Dori. She was very busy and it showed. She offered no refills and didn't ever smile. We didn't feel rushed and our food came out promptly. But.....I feel she could have used help. She had to pre-bus, bus and clean up her tables.

Well Fantasmic is about to start. It has cleared up nicely. Later !

Good morning-Yesterday was our Animal Kingdom day. It was a beautiful breezy day thanks to TS Noel. The rain held off until we got on the bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge.

We were kind of hungry in the morning. So we decided to use our counter service for breakfast. I wanted to save room for Boma tonight. We ate at Pizzafari. We had the breakfast platter. It had eggs, hash browns bacon and a biscuit. I enjoyed it very much. I had worried that it would be very crowed for lunch because Tusker House was closed.

On to Boma

Jamal from Casablanca was our server. He was very attentive and sweet.

Soups..
We both tried the Crab soup and the cocconut seafood stew. I loved the seafood stew. It had shrimp, scallops, oysters in a lemon cream spiced broth. Awesome. The crab soup was too thick for my taste

Salads

Calamari salad- curry and ginger flavor in a endive and calamari salad. It was ok. The calamari was not that fresh.

Fruit Salad- cocconut, pinapple, grapes, bananna, mango, and granny smith apples. The apples were very tart but everything else was nice and sweet. Yummy.

Pasta salad.- Strong curry flavor but the noodle were mushy

apple and Jicama Salad- very bland but nice to cleanse the pallet

Main dishes-

Bobotie- Excellent- lots of ginger flavor with raisins (brown and golden) mixed into the meat. Yummy

Prime Rib- Kind of bland but great with the sauces that they had on the side- they had a spicy paste called Sambal which was too spicy for me. They also had BBQ tamarind sauce and a hot mustard sauce that were very good with the meat.

Tamarind Salmon- it was a little overcooked but I loved the flavor

Spiced Chicken - nice spice level and good flavor.

Pork Loin in tamarind sauce- very firm but not too chewy- good tamarind flavor

Desserts

Coco Melktart- kind of like cocconut cream pie but firmer

Zebra dome- chocolatte mousse covered in white gelateous stuff with a liquer flavor was too mushy for me but tasted ok

Crunchy N'Dizi- Fried plantain covered in nuts. Good but should have been crispier.

Upsidedown Pineapple Cheese cake- Cheese case with a white chocolate base with pinapple on top- heavenly.

Casava Cake- A firm custard with cocconut taste.

Everything was wonderful- this has been my favorite thus far-

Well I have to go . DH is finally done- We are going to miss the rope drop !

Enjoying these!!
Too bad about Mama's. The restaurant should make an effort to have enough staff to handle business--.

Appreciate you taking the time to review while you are there!! Looks like you are having fun and eating well.

Good Morning. It is cool and a little humid this morning. I am sitting on my porch at Saratoga drinking coffee and looking out to DTD. It is a nice day so far.

On to the food. Well we had a 1:20 PM lunch ressie at the Coral Reef. So we decided to share one CS at Sunshine Seasons. We picked from the Asian Counter. We had the
Sweet and Sour chicken with the Beef and noodles. it was very greasy.. While it tasted ok, I would not call it great. It kind of gave me indigestion. Which is no fun.

Anyway.....

The Coral Reef was so pretty and we were seated right away. We had just been upstairs in the aquarium and a CM named Sue picked us to go upstairs to have a look at the top of the tank. We saw how they prepped for the fish feeding. We got to see where the Coral Reef was. It was fun.

Well I ordered the Mahi Mahi and the crabcake and DH ordered the Steak with Lobster Soup .

The Mahi Mahi was cooked just the way I like it on a bed of couscous (I think) with some kind of broth. I like the texture but I am not sure what purpose the broth served. It made everything taste watered down. I would have liked it better without. The crabcake was good and spicy but a little lite on crab.

The steak was wonderful. It tasted like the Kona steak. The soup was flavorless and chalky tasting.

Dessert
I had the chocolate wave which was not very chocolatty. It was also too dry.
DH had the butterscotch creme brulee which was creamy but the top layer was a little thin..

Service
Jose was our waiter. He was ok. Our food came out quickly and our drinks were always full but he really didn't speak to us. I called him the Ghost.

Well gotta go. Back to AK today

What a beautiful night courtesy of Noel. I am actually chilly

Last night we ate at Spoodles. I have always thought of this place as a hidden gem. The flavors are varied yet authentic to the Meditereanean.

Appetizers
Dh and I shared the calamari and the margarita flatbread. Both were excellent. The calamari was crisp and spicy. The margarita flatbread was sweet and fresh.

Entrees
DH had the rigatoni and I had the kabobs. The rigatoni had just enough sauce and plenty of meat. It was wonderful, lick your plate good . (FYI I didn't lick my plate, I just wanted to)
The kabobs were rubbed with herbs. They had a strong Italian spice taste. They were tender and cooked perfectly They came with a red pepper and fennel paste and sauted sweet red onions. I wasn't fond of the combination but DH thought all the flavors mixed together well. I just ate the meat with the onions and enjoyed them that way.

Dessert
We had the Sampler. My favorite was the Creme Brulee. The chocolate cake was very good, but are not big chocolate lovers so we didn't finish it. The cheesecake was a whipped kind with a sour orange topping.. I don't like sour things, so I scrapped off the top. It was very fluffy. I enjoyd the gelato a lot. It tasted like vanilla bean.

Giorgi was our waiter. He is from Georgia in the former Soviet Union. He was very attentive and took the time to converse even though they were busy.

This was my favorite meal so far. A lot of yummy flavors prepared very well.

Thanks for the updates. I must admit, I have been considering Spoodles for our next trip. Those kabobs sounded good to me :)
