Live from the Magic!

My mom, stepdad, sister & bro-n-law are on the ship!!! I am so jealous. I have not heard from them yet! They are supposed to email , buy not yet. They must be having too much fun!!!! If you see them tell them hi! They are from Louisiana... Their names are Jo Ann, John, Lori & Rob

We normally do the 7 day and don't use minutes but for the canal we will how much are the Internet packages

Hey everybody! We are also currently on the Magic and so loving crossing the Atlantic.

Our family is having an incredible time.

Castaway day was perfect and even though water was cold kids still loved Pelican Plunge.

Second sea day in a row and loving it. The weather is breezy and cool but lots of sunshine and the kids are loving the waves in the Goofy Pool.

Ducky Williams lecture was incredible. I won a sketch of Belle and he is just the nicest man.

Prior to this cruise, we were really never interested in Alfred and Seymour. However, we loved their opening night act and plan to attend the adult show tonight. They have spent time in the teen club and my kids think they are great. Very nice to talk to and we like them alot more than we thought we would :)

The Oceaneers Club/Lab is having the sleepover on Thursday for kids ages 5 to 10 and mine are excited for that!

Dh has global wireless on his laptop but I was still surprised that we are picking up such a good signal out here on the open water. I've been able to download books to my Kindle too without a problem.

Was planning to try and post daily but just haven't even had time.

Will see how we all handle the hour a day time change for five more days.......

Hope everyone is enjoying a great week!

Thanks for the updates!!!

Well hopefully there will be something for everybody, particularly with it being a long cruise.:)

& Marilyn... if we make the WBTA... I'll have the little green guy sing dance and tell jokes JUST for you... :cool1:

Darn... now he has to learn how to dance... :lmao:

Hi there! Looking forward to my DW and I being on the WBTA! :cool1: I was curious about the gloabl wireless and the good signal you are still getting. Can you tell me more about this? Who is the provider and so forth? No rush. I'm not leaving until September! :thumbsup2

Looking forward to more updates!! Have fun!!

Wow, that's interesting since Global Wireless' coverage map indicates there is no service past the east coast of the U.S. or before the west coast of Europe.

Are they only for adults or can we take kids to see them (ages 7 and 8)? I was looking at them on Youtube and I'm not sure what was so funny about watching a guy dance? (please don't flame me all you Alfred and Seymour fans!)

We didn't see their whole show. They came out for a few minutes during the last evening's show. They were picking on people in the audience who were coming in late, etc. Making jokes that you could tell it was the end of the cruise because because they saw in a lady in stilletos and sweats, lol (can you say time for laundry, lol) then a guy came in late and they were like are you wearing tube socks and sandals ( he was). I just think that people that can go with the flow and make people laugh are talented. It's all objective. I just enjoyed their 'short' show.

Oh yeah..it was a show for everyone so it was fine for kids. Now, maybe their later show in the bars would not be kid friendly.

next time I see Alfred and Seymour I want to walk in late, love it when they pick on people coming and leaving:lmao:

I'm curious too. I noticed on the some of the old navigators posted that unlimited wireless was offered. I wonder if they still do that on any of the longer inteneries.

Now you can get I believe 500 min for about $150...

The unlimited was gone years ago...

Can one of the folks on board let us know how much the Photo CD is for the Transatlantic cruise? We're going in September and I need an idea what to budget!! Thanks in advance!!

This is the package I got. I believe 250 min is $100 and 100min is $50. I figured with 14 days, I'd better get the biggest one! I tried to get online this afternoon for a few minutes but it was taking forever so I gave up. Much better now.

I think I saw the photo cd is $400. I haven't been interested in pics so I haven't paid much attention.

The weather is still pretty good. It's about 7:45 pm right now and it's about 65 F. The seas are still 4-8 ft. I was outside on deck 9 this morning and I thought it was very chilly! I wished I had my jacket on. The sun is not very strong. It was cloudy and overcast most of the day but I still saw someone in the adult pool this morning. (They're heated to about 85-90 f) It is very windy out on deck. The "gentle breeze" they say we are having is very misleading because it doesn't take into account the movement of the ship, too.

For those of you on the EBTA cruise...

I read in some of the 2007 navigators for the med cruise that DCL set an exchange rate for currency exchange on the ship. Are they doing that for your cruise? If so, what is the rate they are giving?

Wow! That would be great if it's the same price as on the 7nt cruises. If you happen by Shutters and can confirm that's the price, or see it in the navigator, I'd be most appreciative!

I heard there is a new DCL Dooney and Bourke bag that is made especially for the Med cruises. Can you tell me if they are on board and if so would you mind taking a picture and post when you return? Thanks for the updates. I love reading them every day. Enjoy the rest of your cruise!

I'm curious to know what kind of activities they have for all the days at sea to keep everyone engaged and active, especially if it's not warm enough to spend hours in and around the pools. Any chance for an update on that?

Dh wireless card is Verizon wireless and provided by his employer so not sure of the cost but the signal is still great (sea day 4) but Yahoo is VERY slow to load. Still getting wireless on my Kindle this a.m. too without any problems.

Photo CD is 399.
