LIVE FROM THE "BRINGING THE MAGIC HOME" 8/20 REPO CRUISE

The wine tasting was outstanding! Thank you Dreams!!!! I was able to meet Mr. Disney just before the party. He and his wife were lovely people. We also met Tom McAlpin. He is a very nice person as well. Last night I was on the panel for Mousekeeter. I also got to meet Joey Fatone. Had my picture taken on deck 9 with him.

I'm very happy that the wine tasting was a success. I'll be sure to pass the thanks along.

I agree about Tom McAlpin. Very nice, down to earth guy. How cool that you got to talk to Roy Disney and his wife!! DD danced with Joey Fatone on the May cruise. (Under the watchful gaze of his wife.) ;)

Sounds like you had a great day! :cool1:

Has taken me several days to finally be able to get to this point in the thread (with many interruptions). I can't wait to see the Magic in the Canal again!!!!!

I found out a few weeks ago that one of our trainees this year is a big Disney fan (FINALLY someone here in the office understands me!!!! :) :) :) ). Anyway, her sister and brother-in-law are on board bringing the Magic home (Valerie, if you are keeping up with this thread  from Chris). I think it's very cool!!!!

How cool that Roy is on board very awesome!!!!!

Thanks for all the video and pictures so far and the reports. I can't wait to see where they are taking her in 2007!!!!! My husband had gotten a survey with questions asking about destinations in 2007. Can't wait to hear!

Everyone have a great rest of your cruise and we will SEE you on Sunday!!!!!

Chris

Hello Everyone:

Good to hear people are having a great time. How can one help but have a great time when you are on a Disney Cruise though.

I am just wondering if anyone is on the boards with cabin 6068, 6069 or 8046? Just wondering how they are for noise, location, looks, etc. We are staying in 6068 and 6069 on the December 17, 2005 cruise and in 8046 on the December 16, 2006 cruise.

Take care and have fun.

Tracy--congrats on getting to blow the Mickey horn!!!!!

WOW :earseek: When Tracy mentioned that she met Roy Disney, I thought to myself: "So totally cool :cool1: The only other thing that would rate equally high on the DisCruise coolness scale would be to be able to sound the ship's horn"

She has done BOTH!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :cheer2:

Way to GO!!

Sorry, I am currently having an audit... funny thing I forgot all about it, and the auditor was not amused...I'll email you the pics and you can post them.

I had way too much fun on the crawl, althuogh someone took nasty pics with my camera and Dan da Man fogrot about the camera (he went up alone on the bungy) and did not take at least one from the top.

I did take the entire jump from the lower observation area, we had so much fun on the crawl that I forgot to take the embarrasing pics.

Hi Everyone,

Just checking in :) Today has been great! No waves and very smooth sailing! I read the May repo'ers speak about Ducky Williams and didn't realize what an amazing man he is. Tried really hard to get one of his sketches, but luck was not on our side :( His history with Disney is amazing. He has such perserverance. What a great guy he is!

Willie Friar just spoke about the Kuno or Kona? (spelling?) Indians. Great information. Another place to visit someday.

We have been spoiled with ice cream, cookies and Mickey Bars. I don't know how we do it, but we have been sleeping in until 11:00. We will not be sleep deprived when we get home. DH heard another passenger on board say how excited she was to have another week on board. If it was a 7 day, we'd all be sad and getting ready to pack. Hmm...how true that is. I just didn't even think about it :)

Spoke to DCL rep today, she still states she has no idea when 2007 rates will come. She said maybe October. Got some reassuring words from her regarding our 11 day in September, so I think we'll keep it!

Any questions?

Deb

Thanks so much for sharing the video it was so fun and exciting to watch. My 6 year old has watched it 4 times already.

It is a great day at sea. We had dinner in Palo last night and were in Lumiere's for lunch. Roy and his wife were there for both meals. Last night they were with Tom McAlpin, Captain Tom and a few others. We just reserved a December 06 7 night but we were told there are still lots of openings for both the 10 and 11 night next September. Gary Landrum gave a great talk on the Castles of the Disney parks as part of the Imagineering series, and we also listened to Don "Ducky" Williams. I agree he was great.

Well, you know more than I do!!! :rotfl2: If the word "docking" was mentioned, that means (due to the size of the MAGIC) you'll probably dock at Rodman (used to be a US Naval Station). If that's the case, transiting ships will pass as close as 300 feet from the MAGIC, up and down the channel all night long :earseek:

The other option might be for the MAGIC to anchor a couple of miles off the Canal entrance and have a bunker barge come alongside and deliver the fuel. I hope that's not it, can get pretty rough in the anchorage. :boat:
