Yes Willie, after all of the performances by you and Lampy, John and Andrew (all at various times) you need more hammock time!

We just managed to put up our tree, and one section of lights (this is even a prelit tree, purchased two years ago, what a ripoff) won't work! Rob's already suffering the Clark Griswold syndrome with the lights not working, Rachel disappeared to the TV, I disappeared to the DISboards, and we ALL want to be back on the Magic.

By the way... do you have a choice of where to stay? I know you recommended a hotel but I'm guessing there is a "list" or something? is that posted anywhere?

and when you leave at the end if you are going home... do you really say goodbye to bags at the door and then they meet you at home?

I guess you still have to deal with several of the tips if you go the night before... at the airport... and the hotel twice?

Priscilla,

By the way... not sure if we saw you to tell you this but we did have the same two little girls for the massage... OUCHY... my word!! I had Beatrice... she was killing me.. i finally had to say ease up! but then she got my neck and it was vundava LOL! That was my DHs first massage ever and he said never again.. he hurt more afterword (we was too manly to say ease up I guess) ....

sherri

Sorry about your DH's massage. I've known many who don't like them because they hurt. It almost sounds as if they were giving a 'deep tissue' massage, which I've heard is painful. If I do it again, I might just opt for neck, scalp and shoulders. I'm not a fan of hard pressure either. :earsgirl:

To All....

I was so happy to be the recipient of the ill-placed Lampsky magnet... and really did think it was meant for me since I made a fuss about him possibly being in my corridor... and it gave me the best laugh of the cruise... but now that I know for sure it was totally an accidental placement I no longer feel privileged or right in keeping my precious souvenir!!

Given the above, I will be placing it on e-bay and perhaps given the extreme value of this item I will then get to go on the xmas 2006 cruise!

May the highest bidder win!

Yes. Stay at the Orlando Airport Hyatt hotel the night before the cruise, and they will collect your bags provided you place them outside your door by 830 a.m. (They're the only hotel who works with DCL who provides this service IF one is using the DCL transportation.)

When the cruise is over :sad1: (after having placed your bags outside of your stateroom the night before) and you disembark, you can check-in for your flight right there AT THE PORT, and won't see your bags again until you arrive home (that is, at your home airport, LOL!)

Thanks!!! Definitely sounds like a plan!!! The bags are a drag!

Okay, fess up, how many of you are still TIRED?

Please, it can't be just us. Maybe it's coming back to cold, (for TX anyway, 35 in Dallas yesterday) after wearing shorts all week. We've yet to put the Christmas tree up. The thought of doing anything Christmas-related is overwhelming. We just (no, I'm not kidding,) finished putting the suitcases away today. (We forgot about the snorkel gear too, LOL!)

Still trying to adjust ourselves back to 'real life.' Grocery shopping, cleaning, reminding to do homework, etc. Coming back here and posting with new DISboard friends is great! :teeth:

Wished we could've packed our servers and room steward in our luggage though! :teeth: Hey, we'll let them have a room in our house (don't use our dining room that much anyway.) And we'll even give them weekends off. Heck, we'll even do our own house-cleaning and laundry. Just prepare and serve those wonderful meals, and turn down our beds each night (and make them each a.m.) :flower:

Priscilla

I'm with ya too Priscilla!! Not as tired today as we got to sleep in (till 7:30), but my world still sways!! :guilty: It's getting better, but definately a lousy by-product of the cruise!!! I had few issues on the ship w/ swaying...just back on terra firma ~ I can't LOOSE the sea-legs! :confused3 The only two places on the ship that made us 'woozie' were Animators (no windows & monochrome theme???!) and The Walt Disney Theater...just couldn't watch those curtains sway!!!

Sooo, it's 34 degrees & raining here...the Christmas Decor will come out today! Rainy days are always good for going to pick out a tree...NO CROWDS! :)
Enjoy your weekend everybody!

Mickeyhugger.....Thanks for the explanation on the Disney transportation! So when we fly in ....do we collect our bags at the airport, or do they also deliver them to your room at the Hyatt? I haven't flown in 20yrs! Need to figure these things out.
Thanks!

We ALWAYS stay at a WDW resort 1 or 2 nights before our sailings. We use DCL transportation and tag the luggage with the "Magic" tag and it shows up in our resort room. Then we get a call around 6 the night before telling us that our luggage will be picked up at 7 and it appears in our room on the ship....

OK my DD just saw this pic while I was perusing and said "that ain't right - you're not allowed to do that" :rotfl2:

Sherri

Sherri- Who says you can't? That gingerbread house is very roomy. I'll bet it smells good in there once they get it decorated. I am going to have to remember this on my next cruise for when Mrs. TCD locks me out of the cabin.

Thanks for visiting our thread.

What is the point of putting your jammies on to go to a bar? The bars were all closed by the time any of us got around to putting on jamies! Does your birthday suit count? According to Lampy, we had some of that on our cruise. :earseek:

Sherri- What does this magnet look like. I sent my DD's out w/ special magnets for Lampy and Doogie, but never heard back from either Lampy or Doogie. I am suspecting that they ended up on someone else's door. The Doogie magnet had a red speedo on it and said "For Sale" on it.

If so there is MY excuse to head back to Florida! :rotfl2:

Yes, there is some beer left in Florida. Not much, but there is some. No Miller Lite though. This past week has been strange. I keep seeing DCL buses parked at stores, and the drivers are wheeling out cases of Miller Lite. They say that DCL had to restock its entire inventory because of excess consumption on the last Western Magic. I wonder what that is all about? :confused3 ;)

Hey, and anytime you want to hitch up your camper and take a road trip to Ft. Wilderness, let me know, I'll bring the beer (at least enough for a day-thats 2 or 3 cases right?).

Thanks!

They won't deliver them to your room at the Hyatt. Baggage service reps are standing at the baggage claim area to help. Once you collect your bags, they'll put them on a cart and wheel them to the Hyatt for you, all the way to your room! (We tipped about 1-2 dollars per bag, depending on the weight.) :earsgirl:

Hmmm... I think it had something to do with that big red rope ... you know like they use in museums and such....

I'm sure I got the magnet... it said Caution Lampskies Room and he was all decked out in his tutu

Sherri- Those red ropes and signs that say crew only do not apply to Dis'ers. Just to the normal folks. I've got some more photos to post to show you where else we visited on the cruise.

You got the magnet that I made for Lampy. I'm glad it made you laugh. That's what I get for sending my DD's to do a man's job!

Well HI everyone. !!!

Bhawk, it was great being with you on the fishing trip. That was some shark that they brought in. All those hook, bait and lines in that sharks mouth I bet.

How about that fish that kinda got eaten on it's way up to the boat. And of course seeing the Magic and Wonder from out at sea. That was a treat.

I definitely would not do any of those water sports after that trip.
KennyK and Family.

Kenny:
we watched the video of the sharks last night. For the record we (our boat)caught three. One was about 2footer, one was 4-5ft and the other was over 6ft. This is based on further video review. My neighbor is a fisherman, and he based it on his experience with Muskie fishing. Either way, parasailers may want to "skip the dip". I had not developed the pix from the water camera. I think I have some of you and will send them to you. I have to learn how to post pictures on these threads. :confused3
