Live 14 Night- 1 Vegan and 3 Omni's Take Over WDW

This morning we went to Universal Studios. We got to the entrance at 9:00am.

Rip Ride & Rocket was down when we first hot there and on one of the tests it got stuck at the top so we went to Mummy and rode it twice.

After that Rip Ride & Rocket was back up so we rode that. Taryn couldn't pick music. She only saw a windows computer program screen.

Next we did Simpsons, MIB (twice using sine rider), the horror make-up show and then headed over to Moe's for lunch.

Bill and Taryn ate at Panda Express (Moe's, Panda Express and Burger King are all in the same building).

Bills: fried rice, broccoli and steak and Beijing beef

After lunch we rode ET, Disaster, Fear Factor, Beatle Juice, Shrek, Jimmy Neutron, and the mummy twice. It was about 8:00pm when we left.

We all went to Earl of Sandwich because Bill and Ryan wanted to try it. Taryn and I were both excited to have it again and it didn't disappoint.

I didn't bring my camera in, so here is our sandwiches from last night. I took a picture of mine with Taryn's camera so I can add at home.

Bill, Taryn and Ryan got the Earl Club.

I got the same veggie sandwich with no cheese and Balsamic.

It was awesome again.

I also asked about the soy Ginger dressing. The girl I asked was the girl who goes around and asks if you have questions while waiting in line. She immediately said, no. I said are you sure? She then looked less confident and then said I'm pretty sure itches soy in it. She then went and asked and she came back and said it has some cream in it. So definately don't order the soy Ginger dressing.

It was fabulous! I highly recommend that you try it next time. And Jiko is a great place to dine alone.

It was definitely a great place to dine alone. The Chefs table was especially Fun. I'll definitely have to try it.

Just caught up with your reviews and they are wonderful :goodvibes

Thanks so much for taking the time, live reports are soooo exciting :cool1:

At Harry Potter, is it the foam that makes the butter beer unvegetarian? That would be awesome if you can get it without the foam.

Yeah I called and talked to someone and also had someone call me back. They said the label would say there is no dairy because there is such a small amount that the FDA says if it's smaller than a certain amount the don't have to list it. For those with allergies they are telling them it does have it in the foam. The told me you can't get it separate, that they are very strict about selling it without the foam and are not allowed. They also are not allowed to say what is in the drink because it's proprietary. I swear I saw one without it yesterday. We will see today. Either way I'm having more pumpkin juice. That stuffed rocked big time. Ryan didn't like the pumpkin juice. Bill liked it but preferred the butterbeer. Taryn thought the butterbeer was ok but wants to try it again today. She loved the pumpkin juice.

Today is our 3rd Universal day and we are doing half IOA/ half US.

For lunch I'm going to have.......yep Moe's again. O am ready for a change, but the have a lot to choose from and I know it's vegan.

It's actually closer to US than IOA from each park exit/entrance. We thought it was the other way around, but it was pretty close to US. it didn't take long from either park.

I think I may get the veggie tacos.

I know we are going to do hulk, dr doom, spiderman, blue ice side of Dueling dragons, and Forbidden Journey. We want to do Rip Ride and Rocket and maybe we will do Single riders on MIB and mummy. Tonight is Boma so we are leaving no later than 6pm. I'm looking forward to bomas spnim not going to eat too much for lunch. I was full all day yesterday.

Sounds like your having a great time! Loving your reviews :) At Universal, are all those rides you talk about, thrill rides. Are there some more tame rides? We are thinking of adding days to do those parks next year. While I have a DS15 who would jump on almost anything , I also have a DS9 who doesn't like anything thrill and a DD7 who is willing to try stuff but is too young for most high thrill rides. I just want to make sure there is enough fun for everyone !

Wow, I'm glad it's our "best of" day because it's so crowded here.

We got in the park right at opening and it's super crowded. The most tours we have seen so far.

We figured out where to getvthe reservation tickets to Harry Potter. It's like a Fast Pass, and or reservation time is 11:20am. We rode hulk, and Dr Doom and we are doing single rider for Spiderman now. We had done all this, plus got to ride doom again by 9am on Monday.

Thanks. Is it just not vegan then? I was thinking it would be something gelatin-based in the foam, and not dairy. If it's dairy, that means I can have it. :goodvibes

Yeah it's just not vegan, I did ask about gelatin and the said no, but I hVe no definitive info too because the won't give the ingredients.

They both sound fantastic to me, I love anything pumpkin, and the butterbeer sounds delicious. I'm so excited to try both.

Great reviews, I'm really enjoying them!

I was really sad to read that Chef TJ isn't at 'Ohana anymore. I had a fantastic meal prepared by him last year.

Melanie, thanks so much for taking your time to post! You're making it difficult not to go run and make an ADR for Jiko's. Everyone I know who has eaten there, just loves it!

Can't wait to hear about Boma!

If you have a chance, download the Dragon Dictation app to your phone. It makes it so much easier to "type" on the phone. Super easy to use, pretty darn accurate and it's free!

US/IOA definately have a lot of thrill rides with some regular tamer rides and kid areas thrown in. IOA has Dr. Seuss, which has 4 kiddie rides and the theming is so cute and fun. There is a flying teradactal ride that is for younger kids. Spiderman is super fun, but it will depend on the kids if the CSM handle it.

At US, there is a woody woodpecker play area, ET, the Simpsons, MIB is so fun, it's a game but it is dark and spins. Shreck and Jimmy Neutron are cool.

Both places have several shows. It's a lot of fun, but the feel is so different than Disney.

Yesterday was our "best of" day at IOA/US.

We were walking into IOA another 9:00 am. The lines to get in were so much buiser thantje last two days.

We figured out where to get the reservation tickets to get into the Wizarding World of HP. Our reservations were for 11:20-12:20.

We rode Hulk and waited for the first row. The line was probably 15-20 minutes at this pi
Point. Dr doom
Was about a 5 minute wait. Next we did single rider for spiderman, and the ride wS down for about 20 minutes or so. We got pictures with Spiderman and, captain America and wolverine.

By this time it was time to go over to WWOHP.

we rode the blue ice side front row of Dueling Dragons. Then we ride FJ 3 times using single rider. Man that ride is so awesome.

Next we headed over to The hogs head pub and they got butterbeers and I got pumpkin juice. The wouldn't do the butterbeer without the topping.

For lunch, it was Moe's again, since I didn't have to worry about what I was going to eat. It was 1pm already, so we each just got a taco so we would be too full for Boma's.

I got the over achiever with tofu as my meat.

Bill,Ryan and Taryn for tacos.

After lunch we headed to US and of course Rip Ride & Rockit was broke down, so we rode Mummy twice on single rider, MIB 4 times on single rider and Rip Ride & Rocket. Of course it was broke down for a while. Next we saw the horror makeup show and then headed out for Boma.

I'll finish Boma tomorrow. I'm about to fall asleep.

Today we did AK, and we had an awesome day. Very little crowds, slow relaxing pace and great food at pizzafari and the Mara.

More tomorrow. Night.

We ate off to DHS tomorrow.

Thanks, Melanie! Hope you all enjoyed Boma!

P.S. I love Moe's (thanks to your recommendation weeks ago). Can't wait to go back.
