No email, no postcard, hoping for AP rates.

Funny thing is we are the second owners of this home. The previous owners were an older couple who had to move into a retirement home so we know who they are.

But there comes a post card in the mail addressed to someone who has never lived here. One of the infamous postcards. Think they would let me use it since it came to my house. NOOOOO.

Disney is truely trying to tortue me. I firmly believe that now. After jumping every time I hear that chime that indicates new mail only to find it to be another dumb joke from my uncle I wake this morning and my heart skips a beat when I see "disney" show up among my new messages. Of course it was just my Disney Insider so no discount. Now I go to check and I see an email titled "a special offer from Disney vacations." I am just about giddy clicking on it and it turns out it's just a soliciation to buy into DVC at Sarasota Springs. THIS on top of hearing new AP codes are being launched....but only for September and we need October.

::sigh:: I never thought of Mickey as some sort of sadomasochist before.

How's this for torture ..... I get home from work and go to the mailbox. There is a postcard! A vacation related postcard!!

It's from Carnival Cruise Lines. I "won" a "free" cruise .... if I sit through a 90-minute sales presentation.

I can't take it anymore!!!!!

Never an email or postcard here. Good thing for this board so I can get discounts. I could not even get a AAA rate for December. Right now I am paying rack rate. Never have before....Hoping for a discount soon.... This is getting me very sad..

Ugh. My husband came home from work today really mad.
He told his coworker about this email code we didn't get. His coworker signs up with WDW 2 weeks ago, requested a video and gets an email. His wife booked a 7 day trip at a Mod resort and saved about $425 over what we are paying for the same resort in mid December.

DH now wants to cancel our ressies and book offsite.

He spoke with my brother in law who told DH that for a lot less than what we paid we can get a spacious offsite hotel with contintental breakfast. Brother in law said our Mod only has double beds, is very small and has barely enough room for all 4 of us to walk around at the same time. Of course, my husband believes that. My brother in law goes every year to WDW, but usually stays in the Wilderness Lodge Villa (which we can't afford).

I was all psyched about this "Disney Magic" we'll get from staying at the WDW resorts, but now I think I'm going to end up at some hotel offsite where we sit in traffic every time we want to come and go anywhere. Instead of Mickey I get to look at billboards.

Sigh. I wished I never heard of this code.

Oh well.

did you guys try any of the codes on the mousesavers.com board. i know they had a room only code ,i think you have to book by the end of Aug. and i thought the dates were through at least the middle of DEC. im not sure if they had all the hotels, i had used it for 4 days room only for the end of Aug to Sept but for the ALL Star s.

I have signed up for every disney site imaginable in hopes of being put on a list for postcards or e-mail discounts. Not one have I received.

No e-mail for me either. I once received a postcard, but it was for rack rate at a Value in the summer, no PIN required. I have a AAA rate for our December trip, but I'd love to get a code so I can go deluxe. I called the other day just to check in case an e-mail was filtered out in junk mail and the CM said he didn't even have an e-mail address for me on file. I wonder how that can be when I have answered many surveys via e-mail, booked a DCL cruise online as well as a resort stay, and ordered vacation planning materials online. My only comfort in not getting an e-mail is that it sounds like there are hardly any rooms available for the e-mail offer.

I have the 5+2 package booked for 8 nights-staying from Oct.24-Nov.1. I have complained so much to everyone who would listen to me, including e-mails to Disney, that my GF lagoon view(don't even go there-no other rooms available,wanted concierge) will probably be the housekeepers closet that faces the seven seas lagoon. Where is the love? I've paid my dues, I was at Disney in 1999 when they closed the parks for the first time ever due to a hurricane.Well -Thanks guys for letting me get that off my chest-Tomorrow is a new day! to all

No postcard, no e-mails. Is it baceause we're on the upper west coast and they don't think we would come?! I have a trip planned with regular rates, no savings there, anything would help. Crikey!

It seems like many who post that they didn't get a postcard or e-mail did get one after posting, so I guess I'll give it a try. I did not receive an e-mail or postcard. It seems like I did get a postcard a while back (last year) for value resorts, during a time we could not go. Now I have a trip planned and know that many people are paying $80/night less than me at AKL. I am happy for those who got the discount.. I just wish Disney would not discriminate!

I wish you luck! I am the OP and I am still waiting! I still haven't gotten an email or postcard rate yet. Not so patiently waiting for the AP rate, too! I even ordered the planning video last week hoping that would help.

Still waiting! Hoping someone will take pity on me sooner or later and send me some kind of discount!

Not to proud to beg! Please Disney send me an email, a postcard or release the November and December AP rates!

I have been to WDW many times and have never got a postcard or email. Did once get slinger on door asking to book again before ending of year. (come back rate) Did get AAA rate for 12/10/-12/19 at POP for 60 something. Well here's hoping for AP rate for that time..not a big savings for me but hay 10 bucks a night times 9 nights is a few extra pina coladas.
