ooh yay! I love zombie threads!
My number one pet peeve has always been the guests. Luckily, I am one of those non-observant types, so I don't get too bothered by a lot of what goes on. But these are the things I have encountered personally:
-People smoking in non-smoking areas. I know it's a free country, and it's your decision to smoke or not, but please be curteous and respectful. You are participating in something that can have serious repercussions for other people (such as my BF and I who have severe allergies).
-People with strollers/wheelchairs/
ECVs who try to use said instrument to get to the front of a crowd faster. My BFs foot was run over by some lady on an
ECV a few years ago...there was not even a crowd, she just needed to get through the doors faster than us for whatever reason. We're all going to the same place and you mowing me down isn't going to save you that much time. You're on VACATION! Take some time to stop and smell the pretzels/churros/etc.
-People who complain about EVERYTHING! Let it go! Seriously! You're on VACATION!
-People who don't clean up after themselves. This is a big pet peeve of mine in general...not just as WDW. If you use a toilet, flush it until the water is clear or debris free. If you drop a paper towel or some TP on the floor, pick it up and throw it away. If you eat at a CS restaurant, please throw out your trash when you get up.
-People who change diapers in "public." Being a responsible parent means doing what you have to do to take care of the child. You don't want me letting my dog poop on your lawn, I don't want to see your kids poop while waiting in line to get my lunch. I'm sorry you have to walk ALL THAT WAY to the bathroom to use the changing station, but please...just do it.
People aside, the only thing I really about Disney specifically that really irks me is the scheduling. A lot of us plan our vacations out a year in advance. We make our ADRs 180 days out like good little DISers, but they don't release special event dates until the "last minute." For example: We are arriving in Disney on 10/19. Our ADR day was 4/22. We are planning to go to
MNSSHP twice during our trip. Soo...I had to make ADRs on 4/22, but they didn't officially release the party dates until the following week. It's like if you don't have Park Hoppers, you just have to make due. Luckily, I didn't have to make any changes to my dining schedule but I hate that nothing is coordinated. They should release the dates of special events along with the park hours for that month so that people can really plan everything and not have to worry about maybe having to make changes. I especially feel bad for the people who make ADRs at Le Cellier or CRT. It's impossible to get ressie's there - even 180 days out. I hate to think about trying to make changes!
