Little Mermaid Ride

I know I am not the only person who is really really excited about this ride. Does anyone have any ideas as to what kinda of ride it might be? I'm assuming it will be what is showcased on the Little Mermaid dvd. Pretty much a dark ride, like most of the rides in fantasy land?

Supposedly it's going to be an Omnimover style ride like the Haunted Mansion, which means that is should be able to handle large amounts of riders, which bodes well for a dark ride. The one featured on the DVD was for a Peter Pan style ride track and system. I think it's going to be similar to the one on the DVD, but when that specific ride was designed for Disneyland Paris.

oh my god my post is above the ops?? wow umm

oh wow that sounds like a good ride id love another like hunted mansion

yup! from the concept art i've seen, it's gonna be like a mansion/dark ride; somewhere by king triton's carousel & tsmm.

I am SO excited for this ride!!! I am a huge Little Mermaid fan. And HM is one of my favorites... love the dark rides, especially a long one... I just can't wait! :cool1:

I had heard it was going to be where Golden Dreams is now? Not by the carousel. Could be wrong on that...

If you look behind the wallboards with the old style California summer advertising posters (you can also probably see it from the California Screamin queue), you can see a fairly new and large building. I'm assuming that is the one they'll be using. It looks like it could definitely house a dark ride.

I may have just been tired or deluded, but in all the times we've walked to the Carousel, I'd never noticed it before last Saturday.

Everything I've read says Golden Dreams as well in the SF area of the park.

I'm excited too! But I think they should have put it in DL and put Nemo in DCA. It would have just made more sense because TLM is Classic Disney. Back in the old days when they DREW the cartoons LOL:rotfl2:But I'm glad nonetheless

I've posted this before but if you have any q's about CA remodel and ESPECIALLY the Little mermaid ride.. You have to watch it's amazing! Watch the whole thing because i think Little mermaid is towards the end becuase the projected opening of that is either 2011 or 12

I soooo agree with you!! Nemo fits in DCA better anyway being that is has so much Pixar and is more modern, if you say. When they were still building Nemo, before the announced it was going to be Nemo and when the boards were just blue, I was hoping it was going to be TLM ride. That would have be so cute!!

From the website I go to, it projects TLM opening in 2010 (maybe 2011)cant remember off the top of my head. I do remember that 2010 is the year the The Wonderful World of Color is suppose to debut.

Edit:Looked it up, it says 2011, with Carsland 2012. I cant wait!!

Hopefully them having Nemo at DL and TLM at DCA will better mesh the two parks making them more of a resort.

I have to wait 3 years! :faint: I hope it goes faster than that!

WOW.... you are like psychic to something... or a time traveler... Hey next time you go time traveling take me with you and we can go stand in line in DL back in 1955. I hear the first 3 in got lifetime annual passes!

When and where is this ride supposed to open?

So cute, you ride in a giant clam shell version of a doom buggy! Love it!

Disney has announced that Golden Dreams will be closing and will be replaced by TLM ride. When it's opening is sometime before 2012 when they plan on finishing the 1st stage of the refurb for DCA. Somebody here said 2011 earlier.

Once they get it all completed I may have to take another trip to DL. DCA has some good things in it but it just doesn't seem very Disneyish. Looks like it is going to be awesome.
