Hahahaha!!!!
I was just flipping around and caught the end of the LHOTP episode where Almonzo fell in love with Laura.
I had the biggest crush on Almonzo when I was like 12 or 13! :rotfl2:
Anyone else?

nope - sorry - I did not think he was at all hot.

In fact I thought he was dopey looking and acted like a dork most of the time. I was so mad that Laura, who was ultra cool in my opinion, would fall for him!

But Pa, oh yes he was hot -- and I sort of had a little crush on Willy Olsen - and a teeny one on both Mr Edwards and Nells - Willy's dad. That is just sad isn't it - forget I said that

:rotfl: Oh and what was his name, the guy who bought the Ingalls house after they moved? He was pretty hot too.

Uh...not so much. He's OK looking, I guess, but didn't do much for me.

Actually, I found both of them fairly unlikeable. I can't quite grasp the appeal of the show.

John Carter.
Ok, I know way too much about Little House on the Prairie!
I didn't like the fact that they brought a new family into the Ingalls' house after Ma and Pa moved. They should have put Laura and Almonzo into that house instead. John Carter was cute, but I HATED those kids! The little blonde one was obnoxious!

I'm confusing families I think, who was the blonde? Wasn't Jason Batemen in the Carter family? I liked him. Oh no he was in the Ingalls right, with Cassandra? after the wagon accident or something? I'm so confused.

The hated the episode with the fire at the blind school, it gave me nightmares.

I'm a huge Little House fan. Pa is more my type than Almonzo. I thought Almonzo was a little wimpy on the show-not like the character in the book.

That one didn't mess with me as much as the one where Alicia, Albert's love interest was raped by the guy in the mask. Talk about your bad dreams! Maggie

Jason Bateman (James) and Cassandra were adopted by the Ingalls family.

The Carters had two boys, Jeb and Jason (?) I think... The older one was Shannen Doherty's (sp?) friend/girlfriend.

Oh, oh I remember the blonde, he had a bowl cut right? LOL

I think her name was Sylvia, but OMG YES!!! That was terrifying!
(Alicia was Mr. Edwards' adopted daughter.)
Ok. I'm officially embarassed!

i adored the books as a kid but hated the show because it was such a bad adaptation. i did start watching the re-runs a year or two ago and i realized how bad the show was at even staying true to their own story lines! what realy brought it home was a 2 part episode where 'albert' (laura's adopted bro) overcomes a morphene addiction and at the end of the episode laura does a voice over that says 'my brother albert went on to become a doctor and have a long career careing for people'-then another episode maybe a year later has 'albert' about to start medical school when he is diagnosed with a dealdy disease and the episode ends AGAIN with laura doing a voice over of 'my brother albert never realized his dream to go to medical school but his short life....'.

it's bad enuf when they don't stick to the books but when they don't even stick to their own story lines!

i loved the mini-series abc did a year or so ago on just the 'little house on the prarie' book-now THAT 'pa' was def. a cutie :teeth:

no sadly I didn't

In fact, that particular episode was where Little House on The Prarie and I forever parted ways. I just could not stomache the departure from the book any longer.

I'm sorry, but Laura Ingalls Wilder was way too classy to ever roll around in the mud with ANYBODY over a man, much less the likes of Nellie Olsen.

As a girl, I used to read the part where Laura and Almanzo got engaged in the book over and over -- and then she said "you may kiss me goodnight."

:lovestruc

sigh
