Little House on the Prairie fans-- Who thought Almonzo was HOT!?!

I didn't read the books until after I was hooked on the TV show. So by the time I figured out that the series was such a bad interpretation, the show was about over.

Well, I'll admit, I too love Almanzo Wilder and I too saw that love scene tonight. I love LHOP and I'd love to get a tag that says so.

Tag Fairy-- are you listening?

I always had a thing for Pa Ingalls. ;)

Ok, its not the quote I'm laughing at, but with your siggie it looks like Jon Stewart is saying it!

Remember he had all those rabbits and when they left at the end they were all set free. :rotfl:

I forgot about that! :rotfl2: I remember that he wanted glasses to make him look 'smart'. Ack! I couldn't stand that kid!

By the time he came along, they'd already repeated most of the storylines at least once.... Nelly replacement Nancy for example, blech. IMO, right around the time Laura got pregnant, the show wasn't the same.

Regarding the whole books/show thing- Looking back the show was like my first soap opera. I always knew it was crazy different then her actual life story but it didn't matter because it was still fun to watch. ;)

No kidding! I don't have a tag yet, and that one would be a doozy!

My sister loved Almonzo...I had a crush on Albert.

I always had a things for the skinny nerd-types.

Exactly. The show started in 1974 when I was three years old. It (along with The Wonderful World of Disney) was one of the few shows my parents let me watch. I didn't even know there were books when I started watching.

You guys are bringing back such memories! My Mom and I loved the show but 9 out of 10 times it was a tearjerker and we'd cry through the whole thing. When Pa Ingalls cried, we'd be bawling like babies!

Ya want to know the WEIRDEST thing? Yesterday morning, I woke up thinking about Carrie Ingalls & how she wasn't a big part of the TV series. So I decided to google her, which led to LOTS of reading on all the family members real lives & where they all lived & so on.......

Isn't that strange that I thought of her yesterday? I can't even remember the last time I saw a LHOTP episode. (insert spooky music here)

They repeat the old episodes at 8pm on TVLand. That's the one that spawned this thread!
I think Hallmark channel has it on in the morning as well. 10am maybe...

I had a thing for Adam Kendall (Mary's husband)!!!!! I thought he was far more hotter than Almanzo!

Ok, Adam was as close to a crush as I had. Pa didn't work(as a crush), Almonzo got on my nerves, and the rest were too young.
Adam was a sweety.

I loved LHOTP but then I understood early on that it was only loosely based on the books. I always thought that Michael Landon was the best looking guy and he seemed to get more and more handsome as he got older.

I loved Laura and Mary and the Olsens were a hoot. Mr Edwards was cool too and no I didn't have a crush on him. ;)

I loved Albert, those beautiful eyes and curls! :faint:
Pa was so handsome but at my young age it was admiration and not lust! :teeth:
