I'm going in May, with my sis and 2 kids, they really don't eat alot. For example they share a 10 nuggets and a fry with gravy at McDonald's and then they have an ice cream... my youngest nibs only, so I was wondering if there are restaurants, counter service etc... in Disney where they can share something... what is big enough to share, tips, secrets to save money on food... It's not the first time that I go, and I always waste so much money on food...
So any suggestions are welcome, also pics are appreciated... yummm! Thank you!!!:goodvibes

I imagine they could share anything you bought. DH and I (both adults, although sometimes I act like a kid -- LOL!) split a burger and fries at the Sci-Fi diner, and when we put in the order and said we were splitting it, she didn't just bring it and add another plate -- the cook actually cut it in half and served each half on its own plate with half the fries on each plate, too. Above and beyond what I expected!

Maybe this answer will be different if you're on the dining plan or something, but if you're paying out of pocket, I think you can just order whatever the kids will eat and share it however you want.

I think even sharing a regular size hamburger and fries is good .......the spaghetti and meatballs and bread sticks...good one to try at MK is Cosmic Rays.......they have good portions and I think that the kids will love it......basically you can share anywheres without worrying ...maybe not the sit down restaurants.....but counter service you should have no problems

Fried fish at ABC Comissary (MGM) and the Yorkshire County Fish Shop (Epcot world Showcase, UK) is two big pieces of fish and loads of big steak fries. Could easily feed two nibblers. ;)

Thank you for the suggestions... and I wanted to go to Sci-fi too... I love that one.
Any more?? What restaurant have big portions??
In the past I did a lot of Character meals, but my son is past that... Both kids don't eat alot in one sitting but they eat often (little portions). So I could always get some fruits or popcorn between meals.

We love to eat at Columbia Harbor House at MK just so my wife and son can share a chicken/fish combo. It's plenty for both of them.

I think the kids meals portions have gotten much smaller. I'm not sure you could split many of those. I do find most of the meals on the regular menu at the counter services are big portions. But some that come to mind that can easily be shared are:

Hot dog and fries at Cosmic Rays
Roasted Chicken dinner at Cosmic Rays
Sandwiches at Pinocchio's Village House (these have lots of stuff on it kids wont eat but you can get them to make one to order. I had the turkey panini made to order with just cheese and turkey)
The pizza at most restaurants is quite large for a kid in my opinion. Probably about 7inches. I think small eaters could split that.

What I suggest is before you order look at what others are walking away with from the counter. I think you could then get a good idea if your kids could split something.

As far as table service goes, I would see no reason you could not share a meal. Unless its at a buffet or family style restaurant.

Again Thank you! I'll write down the suggestions. I never went to Cosmic Rays but now it's on my list.
I love the salad at Columbia, so I will go there for sure, my son likes fish but my daughter likes chicken, so that combo sounds perfect ha!

I've tried to find on the menue of allearsnet dole whips, where do they have them? I want to try one on my next trip.
