The get a FP icon is grayed out, when I click on it it moves to get FP, but then I get Olaf. How weird,

All of our FP’s just disappeared from MDE for our 6/1-10 trip. The hotel and dining reservations are still there. Anyone else see anything like this?
Unless theyre moving to virtual queues only for the time being.
Noticed an issue trying to make them, and then the ones I had disappeared. My question about virtual queues is this - where are we supposed to be if not in line? I know some you can't spread out but others (Space/Splash Mountains come to mind) you absolutely can. Not at all knocking the idea, just wondering about the number of people wandering around common areas when they'd normally be in line. I've been in the parks when they look fairly light but tons of stuff has 2+ hour waits. Where will the crowds go if they can't be in the queues? It might look like SWGE on the opening day for ROTR if people start trying to "hang out" near the ride they have next on their list. We have the same issue at DragonCon every year where they'd say the line for a panel couldn't start until an hour before, so there's be thousands of people "just chilling" in the near vicinity. Though I suppose that limiting the overall number of people in the parks would help with this....and this isn't the speculation/rambling thoughts thread so I'll stop now!

Yeah, I had MMRR, Slinky, and FOP twice each. I never have that much luck with FP’s so it would really suck. But if its limited capacity, I dont imagine lines being 3+ hours without FP or even virtual queues. Less workers and spacing out guests would take more time, but probably not an obnoxious amount
We have a 13 day stay so we were able to get all the hard ones multiple times. If they’re open, I’m going to try my best not to whine too much. I’m still not ruling out a massive glitch though.

There would still be people in line, just not as many. Marking off extended queue spaces could be done, but why do that when its avoided by just moving to a virtual queue system. I imagine not ALL rides will have VQ, but most of the bigger ones that would generate extended queue space. Think FOP in the morning when youre backed up outside of Pandora. And with less people in the park, and still having some people in lines, there would still be people roaming, but not as many as you’d imagine

How do you think they'll do it if the big ones have VQ? Sort of like fastpasses, you have to pick & choose what you do & when you use it you get another? I bet Disney has been furiously working on trying that all out before they let us back in, haha.

It’ll be like a line, you just won’t have to physically stand in it for part of the time. You’ll probably tap your magic band and get a time you can return to enter the actual line. I doubt you’ll be able to have multiples at the same time like you would for fast passes.

As I recall, there was a quick leak of the feature in MDE before they closed. In theory you have a timer based on the ride and demand, you join the virtual line and it tells you when your window to return will be. Once you get in line you can add the next queue shortly after. Just like you can when you use up your 3rd pass and add more, use, add another.

That's where I wonder if it'll be good or bad though. ROTR you might not be called until 5pm. I know that's an extreme example but, what about things like FOP or (for me) Space Mountain? Do you think they might do the old FastPass thing, you return in less than 2 hours or you can make another after 2 hours?

I think they have all of this planned out. They were testing it on MDE in March, but took it down, but people that were on there caught it before they took it down. So this isnt just Disney putting this together all willy nilly out of the blue.

I’m not sure how it would work how many you can do in a day, or at a time.

Thats all assuming the VQ’s are what they’re doing and its not just an IT issue lol.

We may be reading into this more than what it is...MDE often has a maintenance window every day where FPs disappear for a short time during. My June 10-12 reservation's FPs are also missing, and the message is the same one I've gotten before during normal scheduled maintenance. If they are still gone tomorrow, it's not maintenance😉

I don’t think so. I think you’ll only be able to get one at a time. It’s just a method to have a line for a ride without having people physically standing there. I think attendance at the parks will be limited to a low enough level that you’ll still be able to ride a lot of things.

Oh, I remember, they changed the boarding group screen right before everything shut down. I don’t think it’s willy-nilly but even a few months for something this major isn’t a ton of time. No one knows exactly how it would work, I’m just having fun speculating since that’s all we can do right now.

I think its because of the VQ feature they had on MDE before the closures that has people speculating. It could very well be an IT issue, but as soon as I saw people posting they were losing their FP, I wasnt the least bit surprised. Having lines with 6ft of distance between parties would cause a lot of build up. Space Mountain often has people waiting in line halfway towards Buzz Lightyear, and thats with people standing breathing on strangers’ necks

I think it would work one at a time, similar to the current DAS system - you get a return time for a ride, then after you ride, you can book another, and so on. The only difference is that you would not be booking your return time in person with a CM, probably just booking yourself from the app. DAS is already basically a virtual queue, right?
