List of Disney Stores Closing

Well that kills Disney shopping for us. I hate thier website. LOL I am in PA and King of Prussia is four hours away... I am so not driving there for Disney plastic stuff. It is funny though that they just opened the one in Hershey now it is going. (not a very smart move on disneys part especially when now is the time when the Hershey outlets get busy) :confused3

Well this all stinks for me! I'm in Central PA and about 15 min from both Harrisburg Mall and Hershey Outlets (I'm in between the two) and about 30min from Capital City Mall and all 3 of ours are closing! They did just open Hershey just to have it close, that was dumb!:sad1:

I don't think this is right. There isn't a Disney Store in the Mills Mall. And that is a list of all the Disney Stores.

There is a Disney Outlet at the Mills every few months or so - It is the space near Burlington Coat Factory on the other side. The Mills has listed it as a Disney Store for a while - I noticed it on a fluke about two years ago. I believe things rotate in and out of that space when one of their "outlets" come to STL. I have gotten some great deals there, but haven't seen them there recently.

I'm so sad. I worked for the Disney store for 8 1/2 years and left when they were starting to close stores several years ago. They are closing the last remaining store in our area and I actually opened that store back in 1995. It's bumming me out. I remember being a part of that opening team and it's where I met one of my best friends. The closest store to me now will be over an hour away. :guilty:

IN
Castleton Square
University Park Mall
Circle Centre Mall
Greenwood Park Mall
Tippecanoe Mall

This looks like most, if not all, of the Indiana stores. It's hard to believe that they'd close all the central Indiana stores. Maybe this list is not correct. I'm definately going to call guest relations at: 1-866-902-2798 as was suggested in a previous post.

The Greenwood Park Mall store never did get changed. It's one of the "original design" stores around here. The Castleton store was changed and in my opinion is awful!

Isn't there one in Merrillville used to be southLake not sure if it still called that. I am very suprised about Circle Center.

Well atleast the one I go to isn't on the list...yet! I hope it doesn't close!

Good news - the Manchester store is staying open. Both the Manchester and Nashua stores were on the original close list, but both are staying open.

MI
Twelve Oaks Mall
Genesee Valley Center
Somerset Collection
Fashion Square Mall
Wow. There's only one other I know of in all of MI. The Twelve Oaks one is right near my house, but it's not a good one. The Somerset one is close, and it was a pretty brand-new, really nice one.

Now where will I get my Disney Dollars?

Simons at Crystal Mall in CT is officially closing. They had close out signs up already. Apparently the only store staying open in CT is Westfarms mall, which stinks because the one at Buckland Hills was actually the nicest looking store.

I did see that this store was not on another list so double check with your stores to confirm.

Oh and I asked and the character figures are not for sale. DARN!

Alright - I highly reccomend calling the stores themselves.

I just called mine (Yorktown) and asked. I said are you sure or pretty sure youre not closing? She said 100% positive we are not closing.

Not that it would be the end of the world to go 5 minutes up the road to Oak Brook - however I like the feel of Yorktown's better.

Call your store.

I haven't been in a Disney Store for ages. Once Children's Place bought them and they changed them, I wasn't interested in them anymore. Before, going in was like a little taste of Disney and after the remodel it was just awful.

what about the one in the Square One mall in Saugus?

That would be further then the one at Solomon Pond (which would now be the closest to me). I would really be sad if Saugus closed, I helped open that store, too..while I was in burlington or nashua, can't remember which.

I can't believe they are going to close both the Castleton and Circle Center stores here. I would have expected at most 1 of the 2 to close. They both seemed to do decent buisness (at least in terms of traffic) as both malls are pretty busy.

No offense to Ft Wayne, but I'm a good couple of hours away and with $4/gal gas won't be trekking up there for the Disney store.

Hey- I don't blame you-gas is crazy!! I am surprised by Circle Center. I have never been to Castleton, but have always heard it's a nice mall!

I just got off the phone with the Lynnwood, WA store, they're going to stay open  They'll be the only store in Washington staty, but they'll be open. She did say that they had a remodel scheduled and that's been put on hold. They big screen in back hasn't worked in a long time and the store needs a makeover, bad!

Which one is remaining open? I'm kind of new to the area and don't know which one will remain open.

So as of right now the two I visit are closing... now the closest will be Richmond and we just never go there... I think I'm calling both stores tomorrow to make sure! That sucks about the Williamsburg store though - I'd love an outlet close by:(

I really hope this list is not accurate..both stores near me in NJ are supposedly closing (Jackson Outlet and Ocean County Mall)

Jackson isn't closing. This list was a first draft, some on it are closing, some are not, adn others that are not on it will be closing.

My store is on the list, I'll have to call and ask to verify. This store is already about 45 minutes from me and the other one even close to me is about 1 1/2 hrs away. Won't be shopping there much more if they take away my store.
