List of Disney Stores Closing

:sad1: Yes, definately call first. I'd hate for you to drive over there and be dissapointed.... When we went last week I was pretty tired, though, I'd like to think my Disney radar would have picked it up if it were there. Let us know what you find out! (ps- the new section is nice and the food court WILL be when more opens - right now it only had two spots open...):)

I am glad they are getting a food court. That has a huge issue that there was really no where to eat. Kind of hard to shop till you drop when there is no where to get lunch and keep going!

I will let you know tomorrow. But the more I think about it the more I am betting that they never opened.

Tell me about it!!!::yes:: It was never fun to hop in the car and zip over to the McD's ...:sad2: ....then you'd lose your parking spot!! (Which are ven harder to get now!) Fingers crossed!

I have never seen a Disney Store in Pearland (Pear land.....please don't say Pearl and) and I have lived here all my life. :confused3

It WAS going in the new Pearland Town Center, over there at 288 and 518, opening up later this summer. I had been dancing around in anticipation for months and months, since they closed the Disney Store at Baybrook Mall years ago.

Up until a couple of weeks ago, The Disney Store was still in the list of stores that will be in the new mall. Now it's gone. :( :( (www.pearlandtowncenter.com if you're interested)

Stupid Disney...

Oh darn it. The only DS close to me is closing plus the DS in St Louis I go to when visiting my sister.

The Disney store closest to me is closing, according to the list. There's still another one about 30 minutes away. Oh well, I didn't really go there much anyway, although it was convenient to buy disney dollars for our trips, as well as park passes.

This just turned my day sour!!!

I see my local store (Mall at Steamtown in PA) is closing. The next closest is the Wyoming Valley Mall in Wilkes-Barre, PA, but that's an hour drive for me. I love shopping there and even stopping by for a "Disney fix". I was at the Wilkes-Barre store last Monday as my husband was down there for business. I thought how small it seemed compared to the Steamtown store. I wondered if it would be closed even before I'd even heard of any closings.

I think I need a trip to Steamtown tomorrow......

You can add Thousand Oaks, CA to the list.

I hope the store in The Valley stays open, it is one of the originals.

Our local stores are staying open but one not too far at Vista Ridge Mall closing doesn't surprise me. That mall has seen better days.

That is one LONG list!

I opened the vista ridge store I was one of the orginal cast members. It breaks my heart that the store i helped open is closing. I had to leave cause of health issues not that i wanted to leave. I am going to miss valley view too. I hate driving to collin creek so i guess i'll be going to stonebriar more

If this list is correct...I would say that's everyone in Indiana, or at least near Indianapolis is closing. :(

IL
Stratford Square Mall
Golf Mill Shopping Center
Yorktown Center This was the nicer of the two stores that was close to me, the other in Oak Brook Mall seems to have been spared
Cherryvale Mall
Northwoods Mall
Westfield Hawthorne
Yeah. We liked Yorktown better. That's throwing out the fact the other one is exposed to the elements and sometimes it actually rains/snows here.

Well that kills Disney shopping for us. I hate thier website. LOL I am in PA and King of Prussia is four hours away... I am so not driving there for Disney plastic stuff. It is funny though that they just opened the one in Hershey now it is going. (not a very smart move on disneys part especially when now is the time when the Hershey outlets get busy) :confused3

Ours is staying open(Bridgewater Mall in NJ) unfortunately. I hope they will hire a new manager. That woman is the rudest. She was rude several years ago so I stopped going. In a moment of disney dillusion I went back in and she was still there but I didn't recognize her until she gave me attitude! I handed her my stuff and walked out. I had asked her if something was on sale since it wasn't marked. She replied "It's under the sign that sells sale isn't it?" When I went to pay the person working the register asked me is this on sale? And from across the room the manager yells "Jeezzz- I TOLD HER IT WAS ON SALE" That is when I walked over to her and handed her my stuff. And I really wanted to tell her where to put it but I refrained.

My DF went to our local mall yesterday so I asked her to check for me. My local DS is staying opened. :cheer2:

The Disney Store near South Hills Village in PA is the closest to me.

It really is sad. :sad2: I wanted Disney to take these stores back over but not close almost every blessed store in the process.

I know the pp said she asked the CM's if their store was closing in South Hills Village and they said no. But if for some reason this info is wrong. There is not another Disney Store anywhere even close to our area.

We have three in a seventy mile radius. Fayetteville, AR and an outlet & DS in Branson, MO. At least the outlet and DS in Branson aren't closing. Those are the ones we frequent most often.

That is a BRUTAL list! Will there be any left in Indiana? Does Fort Wayne have one?

I can't believe they are closing Circle Centre, with the high traffic from the out of town visitors for the downtown venues and conventions. That store probably does more business from out-of-towners than locals. The Circle Center Mall is definitely a destination spot for the Indy travel industry with its great location within walking distance downtown.

Is there a list of the stores that were kept?
