List 5 positive things about yourself

I've noticed quite a few self-critical posts, so I want to read some positive stuff!!!!! List 5 positive things about yourself. I'll go first!

1.) I have nice eyes
2.) I have a good sense of style
3.) I have a good voice
4.) I care about people
5.) I'm a good cook

I'm a lurker, and I'm actually starting a thread, so lurkers: no fair lurking!!! If I can come out, so can you!!!! LOL!!!

I want to hear from everybody!!!!!!!

1. I can turn a styrofoam cup inside out without a tear.

2. I can still do the splits.

3. I climbed Long's Peak in Colorado 14,000ft + peak and have the picture on my refrigerator to encourage me!

4. All my plants in my garden are growing and free from bugs at the moment- last year my azaleas and japanese maple were attacked by some little bug- now they're healthy and blooming like crazy-

5. I'm raising three beautiful children (along with dh!!) who are compassionate, caring and generous little guys!

Can't wait to read everyone elses!

1. I have started at Curves, making myself feel better and hopefully look better!

2. I have three great kids also, and my DH and I are raising them pretty well!

3. AT 40, I know who I am and will not take any crap from anyone.

4. My job is wonderful and I love it!

5. I have a great sense of humor....just ask my husband

Tara: I have NEVER met anyone who can turn a styroform cup inside out without a tear!
Lisajl: I'm 40 too (and I am not a crap-taker either!)

Now for me:

1. I am a good mom and a good wife.
2. I am smart.
3. I have nice legs.
4. I am very organized and am a good planner.
5. I throw my tupperware out with moldy food in it, instead of cleaning it, and then I buy new tupperware (I really do think that this is a postive thing!)...okay, maybe I'm not as organized as I thought since I suppose an organized person would not dare to have moldy food in their refrigerator.

Actually, I was ready for this post. I've been thinking about this very thing ever since you posted such beautiful words to the thread here about significant others

Shall we take this thread as a sign that you are stepping out of your lurkerdom and plan to join us more often? Hmmmm? I sure hope so, you really are an inspiration to us all, you know.

This is a little difficult. Here goes:

1) I am a good mom, and my DS thinks I'm fun.
2) I am really good at my job. (I'm the only female MCSE I know.)
3) My dog adores me.
4) I make killer Margaritas.
5) I can be a lot of fun.

Tara, I would love to see your styrofoam cup trick!
Linda, I like your Tupperware philosophy! I do that too, but my Mom would DIE if she knew it.

Had to really think about this one.

!. I love to laugh
2. I'm a compassionate person
3. I'm a humaniac, lol, my DH coined that term for me because I could never pass a stray without taking it home and taking care of it. At one time we had 4 dogs, 3 cats, 2 gerbils, 1 parakeet, and a tank of fish. I'm down to 2 dogs and 2 cats and a goldfish. My DH considers this to be a major improvement.
4. I make other people laugh.
5. I have pretty, brown eyes.

Linda - I'm TRYING to delurk. Hope I'm doing a better job. I'm a church musician, and it's Easter Sunday morning between the 7am and 9am masses. So I'm all by myself, and thought it'd be a great opportunity to get my post count up! hehe Oh, and I do the same thing with the tupperware. But I wised up and bought Gladware. Much cheaper, and absolutley no guilt when I throw the thing out. (I also throw them out if I don't feel like washing them!!!! )

Katholyn - Like I said to Linda, I'm really trying to step out of lurkdom!!! I'm glad you were thinking about it, but you shouldn't have to!! Be positive all the time so the positive comes JUST as naturally as the negative!!!

Beanie - nice eyes of the world unite!! What color are yours? Mine are hazel.

Kathy - I've been sitting here and for the life me can't figure it out....what is an MCSE?!?! Something about space engineering? Am I even close? Actually though, number 4 sounds like a lot more fun. Mmmmmm....margarita.....

Elise - no back-handed positives! A great figure is a great figure!!!

Hannosmom - You can join Beanie and I in the nice eye club! I'm a humaniac at heart. I don't have enough room for more animals, but I go to the SPCA all the time to play with the dogs and cats. LOVE animals!!!!!

Okay Dan, the goal is to at least exceed three pages, right? Well since I am the one who started the "significant other" thread, it is high time I redeem myself. So, I am throwing you all for a loop and I am going to add another 5 to my list, for a total of 10:

6. I am a great kisser (my DH says so!)
7. I have a strong mindset to serve others (I am a public servent in my government job, and I love to do serving work at my church and my DS's Christian school)
8. I have a stellar shoe collection
9. I can find humor in anything
10. I like to root for, and have compassion for, the underdog

Mine are blue, thanks for asking! I have always been told I have nice eyes...My kids get complimented on their eyelashes ALL THE TIME! LOL...They were blessed with nice, long eyelashes!

7.) I look damn good in my clothes from Structure!!

8.) I'm really good at video games (not that this is a plus when attempting to lose weight, but I'll take ANY of you on at a head to head game of The Simpsons Road Rage!!! )

9.) I'm talented with languages. I'm fluent in both French and Spanish.

10.) I'm helpful.

Good guess, Dan!

MCSE= Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. I can find my way around Microsoft servers and networks fairly well!

Since you want some more:

6) I can drive pretty much anything (and have!)- cars, trucks, boats, tractors, forklifts, 18-wheelers (really!)

7) I once rebuilt the clutch in a 1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle myself.

8) I can build a PC from scratch.

9) I taught DS to swim.

10) I take pretty good photos (friends sometimes ask me to take pictures for them!)

11) I'm not afraid to try to learn new things. (I started taking piano lessons at 42! I'm not very good yet, but I'm having a blast!)

1. I'm the best mother and wife that I can be

3. I enjoy volunteering to help those in need
4. It's important to me to follow through on my committments
5. But I can say "No" when those committments are too many


I feel a little like i'm bragging - so I want to say Thanks be to God for all these gifts (that's the Lutheran in me)
