Lisa's Wish Journal - Now we have gone Dopey.

Happy Birthday to your DS! :bday: I remember the excitement of getting my learner's permit. :cool1: I bet he is really looking forward to driving!:goodvibes

The cake sounds awesome!:thumbsup2 If you get a chance, I hope you'll post a picture.

I'm so sorry to hear the news about MyaRose. :sad1: Praying for her family... :grouphug:

Happy Birthday to your ds! He's just six months younger than my ds. Who has not shown one bit of interest in getting his licsense yet!:confused3

I am so sad about MyaRose. I started that trip report and need to read the whole thing. I am so happy they made it to WDW recently. God bless them, she's in heaven but her poor mom.:sad1:

I hope you have a great weekend!

I hope your allergies are finally under control! I think people with no allergies are a little unsympathetic because they have NO idea how miserable allergies can be! :headache:

I agree on school cuts. It's all we hear about. So sad...

Awesome, isn't it. I try to decorate cakes, but I can't do anything like this.

Friday evening, DS and DH went to a baseball game in New Orleans while DD and I did the shopping for DS' party and began cleaning house.

Saturday we spent getting ready for the party. As they get older, they get more expensive, but parties get easier. :thumbsup2 Lots of food and a backyard and basketball hoop, the boys were good to go. The adults just sat in the backyard and watched the little kids play. Very easy party. :goodvibes

Today I cleaned the studio and then took DD to the Street Fair. DS had spent the night with a friend and they came to town also and met up with us. Walked around for a couple hours, looked at stuff, DD did a couple activities, bought a couple small things and home we went. I was tired after that. Dinner was simple tonight.

We had a good weekend, I hope everyone else did also.

Wow! Love that cake!!!:thumbsup2

I'm glad that you guys had a nice weekend!:grouphug:

How many days 'til Disney now? :cool1:

Today was a very nice day out. Warm, but not too warm with a breeze. Finally Spring Time. :sunny:

DD received her dance revue costumes today. She likes the ballet one, it's purple. She really likes the tap, yellow and bright pink, but she  the jazz. Black pants with a white and black polka dot top trimed in pink. They are going to be so cute.

DS is bugging me to get his paperwork notarized so he can take his test for his learners permit. I don't know if I am ready for this.

Confession time: yesterday it had been 14 days since I had been on the WII. :guilty: I did 45 minutes last night though and am feeling it this morning. I will try my hardest not to go that long again. The morning after is not a good thing. :sad2:

I tried to go to the track. Made up my mind it was time to get back out there. Took DD with me and before we left we had this conversation.
Me: "Please go potty before we leave."
DD: "I don't need to."
Me: "You know there isn't a restroom up there, please go potty before we leave."
DD: "Mom I just went, I don't have to."
Me: "Warning, I will be very angry if we get up there and then have to leave."
DD: "MOM, I don't need to!"

We get to the track and off DD goes on her scooter. I stretch, get the Ipod set and off I go. Feeling good. Love this track. Hmmm, wonder why DD is sitting on that bench? Must want to tell me something. I get close to her and oh, no......
DD: "Mom, I have to go potty." :headache:

One lap, I got to do one lap. Back home and to the WII. Now, she won't get to go for a couple weeks. One day she may learn, I just hope it is sooner than later.

Woohoo!!! Only 19 days til Disney!!!:woohoo::yay::banana:

That bathroom conversation sounds awfully familiar! LOL! My DD7 does the EXACT same thing. We always tell her to go to the bathroom before we leave to go anywhere and I'd say 5 times out of 10, she'll say she doesn't have to go and then we end up having to stop somewhere so she can go. Kids, huh? ;)

Did you see that SR has 5 daily surveys now?!?!?!?:yay: I was able to get all 5 of them today! :woohoo:

Hope you have a nice evening!

19 Days to Disney is a good thing Lisa! I know I just got back, but I am so envious. But so happy for you!:cool1:

Dd did that to me once when I let her go with me to the track. I was about ready to put her behind a tree but took pity on her. And didn't take her back for some time!

So glad ds had a nice birthday. That cake was awesome. How on earth did you cut that soccer ball part? Parties do get easier as they get older. No goody bags to stuff and no games and theme to deal with!

Hi Lisa, I hope you are having a nice and relaxing weekend!

Your trip is only a couple of weeks away now!:yay:

I was just looking at my ASMU pics last night when I couldn't sleep, its such a pretty resort and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Hi Ladies

16 days to go!!! :banana::banana::banana:

Had a busy couple of days. Work and home. Thursday night I had to take DS to soccer practice and while he was there, DD and I went to the playground near by. After practice, we went bday shopping for DH.

DH's bday was yesterday (Friday). Started off not so good as his DF called to say an uncle had passed away that morning. We decided he would go for the funeral, as DH's family is very close and I knew he wanted to be there. Plus one Aunt would be very upset at losing two siblings (DMIL and uncle) within six months.

Yesterday evening we went with some friends to a dinner and dance at their church. This was a bit odd for me (I'm southern baptist), but it was very nice and a lot of fun. They had raffles and DH won one that had tickets for one of the big Mardi Gras balls. We always watch it on tv each year and say how nice it would be to go and now we get to. My friend is excited cause now we get to go shopping for a ball gown.

So despite the day starting on a sad note, it ended on a happy note and DH was very happy with his day.

Today was the first day of a two day soccer tournament DS is in. DH took him to the first one and then found him a ride home. DH had to come home and pack and go to the airport. His flight left at 6:15pm. DD and I went to watch Chloee in a pagent. She did very well and won Most Photogentic, Best Dressed, Prettiest Eyes and Queen for her age division.

Tomorrow I will be taking DS to the soccer tournament and we have to be there for most of the day.

Needless to say, exercise hasn't been happening. :sad2: but I keep trying. Well, I kind of did last night. We did a lot of dancing and I knew two of the line dances. Plus lots of walking at work, so it wasn't a completely loss.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I'm so sorry to hear about your DH's uncle. :sad1: Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family. :grouphug:

Happy Belated Birthday to your DH! :bday: I'm glad that you had a nice time with your friends at church. Woohoo for your DH winning those tickets!:woohoo: I bet shopping for a ball gown will be fun! princess:

Only two more weeks til Disney!!!!:woohoo:

I am so sorry about your husband's uncle. I am glad he went to the funeral, in a close family everyone needs that support and closure. I am glad that his birthday still ended up happy and fun. That is great you did some line dancing, that is very good exericse and for sure counts!

Shopping for a ball gown will be very fun and being at the ball in person will be an experience to last a lifetime!

12 more days and counting!

Hi Ladies

Things have been very busy around here the past couple of days. Works has been nuts, but I'm keeping up.

Sunday, I took DS to the last day of his soccer tournament. They tied the first game 1-1 and won the second game 2-1. DS had a good day and was very happy. Now he has soccer tryouts Thursday and Friday for the varsity team at school.

I took the dvd player with us and DD and I watched a couple movies in between games and when DS wasn't playing. We had fun sitting in the car and spending time together. It was hot though and we were all tired when we got home.

Monday, I ended up taking the kids to school. DD missed the bus by a minute and DS had a hard time getting up. Monday night DD insisted on going to bed early. They were to begin the MCT tests on Tuesday and her teacher told them all to go to bed 10 minutes early. :thumbsup2

Tuesday, I had to take DD as it was her snack day and it's too much for her to carry on the bus. I happened to see her teacher and I asked her if she could think of a reason every day why the kids needed to go to bed early.:rotfl2:
At work I ran a used book sale as a fundraiser. I normally do it once or twice a year as a fundraiser for the Navy Ball, but was asked to do one for our Command Picnic. In three hours I made over $500 just for selling used books. and I sell cheap. I was exhausted by the time I got home though and laid down for a couple hours. Good thing DH came home or it would have been cereal for everyone for dinner. Of course after everyone went to bed I was wide awake and had that WII just staring at me. ;) So, I got up and did 30 minutes of aerobics. Felt good too. :thumbsup2

Today was catch up day and I did get in about 4 miles walking. Food was a bit better also.

Not sure what will happen tomorrow, but hoping it will be a good day. :flower3:

Lisa, I have to day, I love it when they do that testing! No homework, the kids go to bed early and somehow life seems easier!;)

Good job doing that Wii. Its amazing how 30 minutes of aerobic activity can feel so good isn't it?

Great job on the booksale. :thumbsup2

You are so busy, I hope you have time for some relaxation very soon!
