Lisa's Wish Journal - Now we have gone Dopey.

Great job on the Wii, the walk, and on the book sale, Lisa!:thumbsup2

Have you started packing for your trip yet? You're almost in the single digits!

Have a nice evening!

Hi all

:cool1: today is Friday, today is Friday!!!!:cool1::cool1: for me that is. No work tomorrow!!!:cool1: Not that I am happy or anything. :rolleyes1 Quiet evening around here. Testing at school is done for DD and DS had his first day of soccer tryouts. He said there are 26 boys vying for 13 spots.

I haven't started packing yet. I'm a last minute packer. I have been thinking of what I am taking. and I am going shopping tomorrow. I need a couple new outfits for work and tomorrow seems like a good day to go. I haven't been shopping for myself in quite some time and while finances are a bit tight, gotta have decent clothes for work. Hoping for lots of good sales. I also have my hair appt and my yearly mammo tomorrow.

I am going to try taking some of DD's clothes to a consignment shop. They offer 50-50 and had a sign up Monday about accepting summer clothes. I have a few dresses from last summer that are in really good shape, so I am going to try it. Never done this before, has anyone else?

Well, parts of today were successful. Some shopping got done as planned, but not all shopping and definitely not the errands. I think I plan too much to do on my days off.

Here is how today went.
1:00am - Went to bed (I was too excited about my upcoming trip to sleep)
3:00am - Roo woke me up
6:00am - DD woke me up
7:00am - Took the kids to school
8:00am - packed the car for the day's adventures
Drove to Convington and went to Walmart (some of my makeup is cheaper there :confused3 so I stock up when I am in the area)
10:00am - hair appt - my stylist is in the beginnings of a divorce, so I got to hear lots about it. Love her, but when she is spun up she talks more than does hair. Appt ran over.
12:00pm - back to Slidell for mamo (first stopped at Micheal's, no light blue shirts)
12:45pm - arrive for 1:00pm appt as requested.
1:20pm - finally taken back
1:30pm - done and out the door. (No kidding 10 minutes for total appt)
Stop at Hobby Lobby (light blue shirts :yay:), Walmart, another Walmart and finally Penneys.
2:15pm - begin shopping at Penneys
2:58pm - walking out the door with a full bag and head home
3:25pm - arrive home before bus:banana:

Not a single errand I needed to do(dropping stuff off and selling dance program ads), got done.:sad2: Nor did I get any grocery shopping done. :sad2: DD is spending the weekend with A and DH, DS and I are suppose to go to Jazz Fest with my DB and DSISIL. But it is suppose to storm (bad) mid-day so we are debating what to do.

Food was good today, but no exercise, unless you count all the speed walking I did in stores today. One guy even told me there were speed limits in WalMart and he thinks I was severly exceeding it. :rotfl:

You're in single digits for your WDW trip!!!! :woohoo: Let the single digit dance begin!:dance3::cool1:

It sounds like you had a very busy day yesterday. Sending some :wizard::wizard: to help you finish your to do list.

Hope you have a nice weekend!

I know I'm late but sorry to hear about DH's uncle.

How did your DS manage to get into soccer tournaments with only 2 games? :worship: DD's were always 4 games (2 per day)... I LOVE that soccer ball cake! Any news on whether or not DS made it to varsity? I hope so! :wizard:

Hi Ladies
I'm here and we are okay. The storms that you all saw on the news Saturday were 4-5 hours North of us. We were very fortunate.

:woohoo: 7 days to Disney!!!:woohoo:

Thanks for the pixie dust Tracy. I did get more on my list accomplished over the weekend, but not everything. I'll survive. It will all still be there this weekend.....waiting for me. :rotfl:

Thanks for the pixie dust for DS Amy. The final day of tryouts were cancelled Friday due to the rain/impending storm. They will finish up this Friday and he will probably here something the next week. The soccer tournament did have 4 games. Two each day. DH took him on Saturday and I did Sunday.

Saturday, DH and I were to meet my DB and Dsisil in New Orleans for the Jazz Fest. We didn't go due to the impending weather, that never happened. :confused3 But I know had I gone we would have been in for it. DB and DSis went for the late afternoon and said it was very muddy.

Instead DH and I went to Home Depot and spent lots of $$....again. :sad2: We are working on flower beds and had to replace some trees. It's beginning to look good again. That evening I went to A's house for a jewelry party and ended up booking one myself. One problem. I don't wear jewelry. But it's a good excuse to have a party and it makes good Christmas presents. :thumbsup2

Sunday we met DB, DSil, Gram and DN for lunch. That was nice. Then I cleaned the studio and got my workout for the day.

Today I got a 2 mile walk in first thing and was raher good with food. :thumbsup2

I'm so glad to hear that you and your family are safe and sound!:grouphug:

Great job getting your walk in yesterday!:cheer2:

Your jewelry party sounds like fun!:cool1:

Hope you have a nice evening! Only 6 more days!:cool1::banana::dance3::yay::woohoo:

Thanks Tracy. I really appreciate your checking in with us.

Have you ever wanted to crawl in a hole and not come out? That was me today. I knew I would have to put up with stuff this week, but COME ON! One problem after another. I would think I had one resolved, would move on to something else, just to have someone call and stop by to tell me they needed more help. I often joke that my job title at work is Mom and today it really felt like it. One of the guys asked how bad my day was and I told him so bad I really want to quit. He was like, "Please don't. Please don't quit." I won't, I am very fortunate to have a job, I know that. I just hate having to constantly jump through hoops and constantly re-doing things. I took out my frustrations out on some weeds tonight. I won.

Sorry for the rant. Tomorrow will be better, I know it will. :goodvibes Too busy to walk or anything today, but I did watch my food.

Lisa, I was so worried about you with those storms! I couldn't remember what town you were in and I couldn't log in thanks to this stupid computer I have but I remembered you were fairly near the coast and the storms seemed to be up north of you so I assumed (rightly so thank God) you were okay! This time of year brings out the serious stuff. That storm you got was sort of from our big cold front winter storm. Sorry bout that!

Glad you got some shopping done. New clothes for work and hopefully some things for your now less than one week away trip to WDW!

Make those guys at work do what they need to do to make your life easier. Glad you won over the weeds!:rotfl:

 Lisa,

I'm sorry yesterday was a tough day at work. :( I hope today is a much better day for you! :wizard: Just think...... In 5 more days, you'll be in WDW!:woohoo:

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Thanks Amy and Tracy.

Three more days!!! :banana::banana::banana:

Too funny Tracy. I was looking for my thread down my subscription list and couldn't find it. I was like :confused3 where there heck did it go. Finally I started at the top again and there it was. You must have been posting right when I came on the look for it. :rotfl:

Let's just say that after this week, I have earned my trip. BIG TIME! Love the guys, but sometimes this place:scared: and to top it off we are gearing up for our Command Picnic next week (I'll miss it....hmmmm office party, Disney World, yeah you know MY choice.) and are selling tickets for it, delivering tshirts we sold as a fund raiser and the Navy Ball committee began a fundraiser yesterday. We had all three things set up on one table in our main lobby at lunch time yesterday and suddenly I was like, "Where did everyone go?" :confused3 I ended up by myself for an hour running all three things. :upsidedow At one point I had a line and that is where my directional skills came in handy. I have found I am really good at directing a group of people at doing multiple tasks. :thumbsup2 I was tired when I got home.

Felt like I was getting sick yesterday. Trying to keep the allergies in check with some preventive meds and this morning I feel better.

The ads for DD are coming in. My friend Mary loves doing this. I am horrible at asking people for money, but not her. She even went to places I would have never thought of. Banks, CVS, doctors, Walmart (Walmart couldn't do one, but CVS did) Of course, she and I both love CVS and shop there a lot. Fingers are crossed that we have enough.

I am happy to report that I have been early to work all five days this week. This morning I was here before 5:30am. So much to do to wrap up before I am gone next week. Today is my short day, and it will be a very full day.

No exercise this week, but I have been careful with my food. A couple of slip ups, but overall I succeed this week.

I hope everyone has a great day and a wonderful start to the weekend.

I am so glad this day is over!!!! :goodvibes Busy, frustrating, too much to do in way too little time and to top it off, I was stressing over this whole cover girl thing. I was more worried about A's reaction to the fact that I had so much more than I was about DD winning. I need to learn to trust my friends more. She laughed at me and then when she realized how upset I really was, then she was mad. In a good way. She couldn't believe that I thought she would be upset if my DD won. :sad2: What can I say? I am real pathetic and a goober at times.

I have a very busy, tight weekend planned. If I can get half of it done, I'll be happy. Main thing tomorrow is dance pictures for DD and ROTC banquet for DS. I am hoping to get shopping done in the early AM.

Sunday will be cleaning a very dirty studio and then first b-day party for Jake Carson. I'll pack at some point on Sunday. I have laundry to do, schedules to write out and I can't remember all what else. I need to make a list. Oh yes, dinner to cook for Gram Sunday night.

It's going to be a busy weekend and sure to fly by. :flower3:

Glad to hear the storms missed you. I experienced a tornado in Wichita (May 3, 1999!) and I am still freaked out by thunderstorms. It was weird, because DD is doing a report on KS and just this week she said "Mom, did you know Wichita had an F4 tornado 1 month and 1 day before my b-day?" and I said "uh, yes - it destroyed our house" and she said "where was I?" and I told her she was in my belly. Guess she can add that to her report!

Hang in there with work issues. I think we all have those kind of days, they stink! Look at the bright side, you will be in WDW soon!:woohoo:

Just posting real quick here. We are having bad storms and internet is in and out. All ready to go, I leave in about 6hrs for the airport. I'll try to log in whileI am waiting for my plane. and I will be on at least once during the week to check on all of you. Sorry I haven't gotten to journals this weekend. I have been going non stop. It's not like this for DH when he travels. :confused3

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Happy Disney Day, Lisa!!!:cool1: I hope you have a wonderful time in the world!:cool1::banana::dance3::yay::woohoo: Safe travels, my friend.

Lisa, have fun on your uh work trip!:rotfl: I know you will find a way to balance work with some Disney magic and fun. And I hope you love ASMU as much as we do!

Have a safe, fun and wonderful trip!:cool1::hug::woohoo::yay:
