July magic, Wish, and Dream

Has anyone mentioned whether you want to sail out of Port Canaveral or Port Everglades? Dream is out of PE. Magic and Wish out of PC.

Cost would be a factor for myself but something to consider is that the Magic is significantly smaller than the Dream or Wish- which means less people at Lookout or Castaway and that is a big perk IMO

We have sailed out of both and could do either. We are doing parks first--but don't mind the drive to Port Everglades. We will have a car.

I would choose Magic. I've been on Dream, Magic, and Fantasy, and getting ready for Treasure. I didn't do the rainforest room on Magic (I think it is not as nice as Dream from what I understand), but really enjoyed the adult pool area. And you still have the full circular walking area on deck 4.

In your position, I wouldn't want to repeat Dream/Castaway when I could try a different ship and new island.

I went to LP in Sept and the flies were not an issue. I also was just there last month and they were not an issue then, either.

We were at Lighthouse Point October 23 on the Dream.
The flies were REALLY bad where we were.
We even gave up trying to eat!
One member of our group even took a video of them.
A concierge host even came by our table and couldn't believe it.
He said they came out because it rained that morning and they seem to come out more after a rain.

So, as far as Disney taking care of the fly problem, no they really haven't!!!!!!
I guess it can be hit and miss whether you are bothered by flies.

I would eliminate the Wish and choose between the best itinerary and price between the Dream and Magic. The shows are good on both ships Tangled or Beauty and the the beast. I like the Magic better, but they are both great ships.
