Linking AP to MDE account using voucher

I received an AP from a family member for Christmas - yay! I'm taking a trip in about a week, and when I tried to link the AP voucher number to my account it said it was already linked to another account (I'm assuming that of the family member who gave me the ticket). I tried to call guest services but the wait was insane so I'm trying later. When I do finally get through, will they be able to link the AP to my MDE account based on the voucher number even if my family member bought it using their account? Trying to see if I can reserve a couple of FPs before we go.

Alternatively, if you're listed as Friends & Family on the MDE account belonging to the family member who gave you the voucher, they should be able to reassign that AP to you.
