Linking ADRs?

Hi, experts! We have friends traveling to the world at the same time we are, and we would like to have a couple meals with them. Obviously, they have separate reservation numbers, so how do we go about using our dining plans to make ADRs together? Do we just make the same time and restaurant ADRs and then call to have them linked? Clueless here. Thanks ahead of time for your help.

What you can do is each party make their ressies in their name for around the same time. Then call to link them once they are made.

Of course another way is to schedule 1 adr with the whole parties together and use 1 name and number. This is what I would do.
I would sit down with the other member making ressies and collaberate with them and then make 1 adr for the entire group.

As the PP said, just book them as one reservation. No way to link them. The only time you need the hotel reservation number is if you are trying to take advantage of the 180+10. If you are outside that window, then you can make them however you want. We have made numerous reservations that included people staying on other rooms, and people not even staying at WDW. The system doesn't really care.
