Linking a cash/points ressie

We ahve the BCV's booked for a Sun-Thurs night. and Sun-Wed. I am going to book it on cash for Fri and Sat. My question is can MS link the ressies thus allowing me to stay in the same unit? With the addition of our newest daughter we now have to book a 2 bedroom and I have to be stingy with the points but I don't want to have to pack up luggage for 6 on a fri just to move back in Sun if I can avoid it. Thanks!!

You should be able to link the ressies, but they may not have cash rooms available. We tried the same for an October trip and were told no. Oddly, we were able to get the room on points at BCV (during F&W opening weekend, no less!) but not cash. We ended up using the points.

Not a problem at all. We do it all the time.

Just remember going thru MS is the only way to get ressies linked. If there is no member rate available but you see an AP rate, be sure to think long & hard if the savings is worth the trouble of having to (possibly) move. At the very least, you would have to wait in line at the front desk to check out & back in (in your case, 2X since your cash nights would be in the middle of your stay).

I was able to book thru MS with a rack rate cash ressie which is so worth it for the convinence of not changing rooms, packing up and unpacking again.

Did you reserve the 2 bedroom with 2 queens in the second bedroom for the points nights? If yes, they are not available for cash. Make sure you have either a lockoff or a 2 bedroom dedicated without the 2 queens so you will not have to move.

Make sure you call back to see if a discount becomes available. I had called 2-3 month for several months then was able to get one. I was ok with not getting a discount , t least we wouldn't have to move . But I also didn't want to pass on a discount if one was available.

Funny you should mention that, the cm suggested I call back in a few weeks and inquire about a discount. I asked was there really a point in doing so this close to my arrival and she was very encouraging. Thanks
