Linked Staterooms - automatically seated together?

Hi! This is my first time sailing with multiple cabins... if our reservations are linked, will we be automatically seated together? Further, if we have "dine at a private table" selected, does that apply to all the staterooms linked or just the stateroom that made the request?

We had 4 cabins 15 people all linked and they put together one long table for us. Why would you check private table if you want the group together?

Sounds like maybe they don't want to be seated with the rest of the group??

I always still check on embarkation day. That way, they can fix it if the request wasn’t granted.

We always cruise as a group anywhere from 5 to 14 people and link our reservations. Only 1 time (our first cruise) was anybody outside our group seated with us. Otherwise, it was always just our group, We never specified a private table.

I'm recently off the Treasure and had 2 cabins booked. We were seated together at a private table, as per our request.
