Link To The 1st Star Wars Cruise Navigators

I'm hoping (maybe foolishly) that some of the things are kinks they didn't quite have worked out before the first run. Either way, I know we'll have fun.
I don't think so, things were fairly organized, they just didn't do half of what was promised. Yes, it was fun, but not worth the premium paid for the Star Wars cruise.

Maybe one episode, but it clearly said on the description that multiple would be playing.

I assumed they played more than one episode. It shows on the navigator that rebels was playing almost continuously from 8:30am to 5pm on SWDAS day on tunnel vision and one shorter time period the next day. Maybe you just missed it? Sounds like there are quite a few disappointed people. I guess I should lower my expectations a little bit for SWDAS.

Perhaps, although the weather really didn't allow for going up there much during the day, but that is just the beginning of the issues, there were no meet and greet with celebrities, as indicated on the cruise line site, although they were onboard the ship, including the lady who played Fatisma. They didn't allow autographs for any of the characters and you only got to meet two of them. They also didn't setup the cantina as promised.

Like I said, overall the cruise was fun, but we didn't get all that was promised and promoted.

Some people didn't even get a single meet and greet ticket. Get your choices in ASAP. It says by midnight Sunday but I know on the Facebook group some got them in on Saturday and still didn't get any tickets. We got two, one for the Wednesday and one for Thursday. Both only had 1 character at them. Bespin had the Bounty Hunter and the dark side had Captain Phasma. The roaming characters on decks 4&5 were playing their part more than being there for photo ops. Every so often the Storm Troopers would pull someone out from those following them and pose, and the emperial officers would pose as well. The sand people would poke at you suspiciously if you put a camera up to take a picture. And the jawas acted like the junk collectors they are and would try to take the camera from you. I did see one pull pieces of garbage out to exchange at one point. It wasn't the best day EVER but they did have fun with it. Do I wish they had done more? Yup. But what we did get to experience was aok with us.

Oh and the special appearance by the Disney parks imagineer may change from cruise to cruise, I would actually expect the person to be changed. Would be interesting to see if each week it gets to be a more exciting interesting person!

Did you purchase any of the limited edition pins? It doesn't look like I can do it through the website and I saw something on Twitter about a wristband line and a purchase line- not relishing the idea of spending hours in lines to feed DS's pin craze.

We did some preorder ones, and some were not ready for when we boarded so they will be shipping later! Because of that we got a couple of others as s thanks for your patience gift which was nice.

They definitely did play more than one episode; I was pretty sure but just confirmed with my (obsessed fan) child and he said yep, absolutely they did. He stood at the railing of Deck 12 and watched more than he actually spent playing in any of the water areas/slides, so I'm sure he's right.

That's pretty much how we felt--they could do a lot more for sure, but we had a great time with what they did do for it and are glad we went. We've tried to always teach our kids to enjoy experiences for what they ARE and not what they *could* be--and they are still raving about the trip (daily) because they enjoyed it so much. My husband had good-naturedly grumbled about the cost a few times leading up to the cruise, but the second he saw our son's face light up (like we've never seen it!) when he saw Vader he leaned over to me and said, "Worth.every.penny! Right there. Worth it." :)

I have a question. I am interested in doing the star wars stateroom decorations for hubby. Did any of you do it? I have never done anything like this. I wonder if you get to keep the decorations! Thanks in advance for any info.

If you're talking about an In-Room gifts purchase of Star Wars decorations - yes, they are yours to keep, once you bought them.
