Link To The 1st Star Wars Cruise Navigators

I'm wondering if the pirate night festivities were still on? I know there are no fireworks for pirate night (moved to the SWDAS day). But were people in pirate gear on 'pirate night'? I have the kids booked for that pirate makeover in the BBB and wondering if it is worth keeping. Perhaps with the Star Wars excitement, the pirate stuff is taking a backseat??? Thanks

We dressed up on pirate night, as did most people on the cruise. There were lots of little boys that had the BBB makeover roaming around the ship.

The attire listed on the Navigator for pirate night was pirate/cruise casual I think. Pirate for sure though! There was still a pirate show, but ours got moved indoors since it was raining so hard. There may have been a pirate party on deck later but we weren't up and about at that time on deck 11 so not sure.

Did you attend the Jedi training academy sessions? I'm curious how the went about picking the kids. I've heard it's random.
They pulled the kids out the line going into the theater. None of my kids were chosen (we went to the second show of the day), but our friends' son was.

ETA: it was done very discreetly; the people around our friends didn't even notice he was being led away. They don't do it at the front of the theater (and he wasn't doing anything to be noticed, just standing PATIENTLY in line) because they need more time to get the kids ready. They were making announcements outside the theater during our show warning that first come isn't first served. There were still people who got mad and stormed out when they realized their child wasn't going to be one of the chosen. It was ridiculous. Parents throwing fits at the tech crew and other crew members and demanding to know how to get *their* children on stage. It was beyond obnoxious...just sit back and ENJOY, come what may!

I'm curious to know how much pirate theme there is on pirate night. Since I'm putting a lot of effort into my costume, I plan to wear it that night, assuming I get it done in time. Even if I'm the only adult guest in pirate garb, if it's finished, I will be wearing my costume.
There were still a ton of people--adults and kids--dressed for pirate night.

I suppose randomly from the line is better than picking those that make the most noise. How soon did y'all get in line for one of the performances? Daughter is set on doing this.

We went about 20 min early and were toward the front of the line, but the lines were longer, faster as the day went on from what we heard. The friends whose son was chosen weren't all the way to the front of the line by any means.

The Tube had Captain Phasma and Darth Vader, O'Gills had Chewy, and D Lounge had R2 and 3PO. Even though it had been said that these would be transformed into canteenas, there were no sets. The Star Wars night show on deck 11 featured Vader, Phasma, Darth Maul (who showed his saber skills), Chewy, R2, 3PO, Jango Fett, Securra, Zam Wesell, Stormtroopers, Jawas, Sand People, . We had rain 4 of the days. with 52 mph winds, there was no way to dock the Fantasy at CC. Friday afternoon looked like the north Atlantic.

We had Darth Maul in D Lounge/Tatooine instead of R2 & C3PO. We had an 11:50 time alt and they'd already changed them out by then.

Thank you for the info. Here's to hoping the cm sempai notices her then!

Thanks!! Did you have to sign up for the Star Wars meet & greets, it says something along the lines of filling out the form & returning it by Sunday?

Also I can't seem to find on the initial navigator where to go to sign up for the mixology/tasting classes?
Yes and something they don't explain is if you don't turn in the forms, you get NO meet and greets. Also, there are NO autographs from ANY of the characters.

On the navigators, it says roaming characters on Deck 3/4/5, did you see any while you were there? If so, who? Also were the Fab 5 ever out in Star Wars costumes?

On the navigator it also says to bring cameras, but the roaming characters literally were running away from the cameras. Also, there are NO autographs at the meet and greets, so be prepared. There were also no Star Wars celebrities as indicated on the cruise line website. Also, Star Wars Rebels did not play at all during the cruise. There was no cantina in the adult club areas. The deck party pretty much consisted of the characters coming out on Stage and they didn't interact with each other and no lasers happened during the deck party or fireworks. And there are two meet and greets per cabin, but only if you turn in your preference form by the specified time, otherwise, you get NOTHING.

Don't get me wrong, overall the cruise was fun, but a lot of what was promised never happened. In all honesty, had I known how little we were going to get for Star Wars vs. what was promised, I probably would have booked a different cruise with Disney that was less expensive and didn't require me to fly to Florida and had just as much fun.

I'm hoping (maybe foolishly) that some of the things are kinks they didn't quite have worked out before the first run. Either way, I know we'll have fun.

A huge part of the fun will be to be onboard with a bunch of like-minded SW junkies. I am personally looking forward to the fan costumes (except for the inevitable Princess Leia gold bikinis, whether well-done or poorly-done).

That's not a nice way to talk about Will's costume, Jill.

Thanks. Now to get back to work on my costume. It isn't easy to sew alone when you used to always have help easily available, but I'm getting it done. The vest won't be easy, and the fabric I plan to use for it won't make it any easier.

According to the Personal Navigator, Star Wars Rebel played on the Funnel Vision on SWDAS. Did they not show it there?

Maybe one episode, but it clearly said on the description that multiple would be playing.
