Line Etiquette

I myself dont really cut in line to goet to my family unless I've come from
the bathroom or from changing the baby, otherwise I wait like I'm supposed to.

I agree that there's a difference between line cutters, who push their way in front of you, assumingly to meet the rest of their group, and people who were on line but had to leave for a quick emergency.

We're leaving in 2 days with our kids age 2 & 4 and I'm 22 weeks PG. As it is, I have to go to the bathroom A LOT and since we'll be walking around in the FL sunshine, I'll be doing a lot more drinking than usual... that means more peeing for me. I will always make sure to go to the bathroom before getting online (and take my 4 year old with me) but if it's a 40 min wait and I have to pee again, I will ask the people behind me if they mind me running to the bathroom real quick while DH and DS stay in line.

I had to do something similar the other day at Party City, but it wasn't potty related. I was there with DS (the 2 year old) and he ran away from me when I was next in line to pay (after waiting on line for over 15 mins). I had to leave my space in line to get him and the person who was behind me had no problems with me getting back to my original space.

Another thing that "get's my goat" is the "Permiso" people, the Brazilian tour groups, that think it's ok for 1 person to hold the line for 15 more.... I don't think so.
That happened to us once, there was a woman sitting on the ground near the front of the line for Voyage of the Little Mermaid. It was July, super crowded and HOT. After we waited "forever" with two small children, a large group of ADULTS (10-15) joined that lady right before it was time to go in. Due to this, we did not get into that showing (short by about 5 people in front of us)and had to return and wait again. Try explaining that to the children.:headache:

That said, however, I don't have a problem when people with small children are already in line, go potty or to large nearby area to "run off some energy" and then come back. That actualy makes it more pleasant for the rest of us! :hippie:

Holy Cow!!!!! I would have raised a FIT!!!! :snooty: Dh would have probably been mortified but he would have totally supported me!!!! See this is the type of thing that starts "stuff" at Disney.

I dislike it. If you want to see a ride / show, get your entire party in line and wait like everyone esle.

however, having a 6 year old, i understand that bathroom breaks can happen at the worst times. So, ask the folks around you if they mind if mom takes daughter to the bathroom and come back.

then it is moms job to wait for a spot in the que to cross over the smallest amount of people to catch up.

An example is peter pan...sure, get out of line for the bathroom and catch up...that line is only 2 deep and is easy to get back to your family. But do not ry and do it at Pirates.....you have to go through the que passing people, not crossing. that is rude.

just my .02¢
