Sorry I haven't popped in in a while, but this week I was on "vacation" from work but worked temp jobs all week. Nothing like throwing off a perfectly good schedule. No running, as I would have had to have been up at 4:30AM to get it done. I actually fell asleep in my recliner at 7:45 the other night-longer days at offices where things are vastly different from my own and it plum tuckers me out!!
But how is your training going for the Applefest? I have only 2 more weeks until the Palio, I am so excited to do my first half marathon. We are running 8 tomorrow, and then I am starting my new training schedule this week. T/Th/Sun running, W/F strength training.
Good for you with the spinning-its not my thing. FIL teaches it 2x week, he is a nut.
Keep up the good work-I'll try to stop in more often
Hey Linda. Don't ever feel ignored!! I may not be posting much but I do check in on you from time to time. You're getting pretty fast!!
Where did you go rafting? We went earlier this summer on the Kennebec and it was W-I-L-D like a once every 5 years ride down the river at 5300 cfs water!! Holy first ride down the river.... Hope you had a great time!!
I am sore from rafting but feel good.It was the Deerfield river. We talked about the Kennebec but good thing we did not decide to do that because 2 of our guys bailed on us and it would have been impossible without them.
We now have new names for those guys that I can't say here!
Well all the hard work and it looks like I am pulling out of the race in 10 days.
I have been really sick, wicked chest cold and my 2 DDs were in a 3 car accident Tuesday so my focus is and should be elsewhere. We do not need to go to NH right now.
Thankfully everyone is OK, no injuries.
Will be starting to trian again for WDW real soon.
Sorry to hear about your girls accident, glad everyone was okay.
Getting sick before the race was one of my biggest worries-thankfully I have managed to stay healthy. Sorry that you are going to miss Applefest, but better to rest and get geared up for Disney.
Hope everyone is feeling better soon.
And thanks for the good wishes! I am praying for swift feet and good weather!
C'est terrible! I sure hope your DDs are OK. Sometimes the body aches don't show up until a day or two after an accident when the adrenaline has worn off. I can empathize about the cold. I hope it doesn't last you long.
Hi everyone! Have not done a thing, my race is tomorrow and I can't believe I won't be there.Still sick here, quite a few of us at work have it.It has been about 2 weeks, I have a MD appt NEXT Wed., what good will that do I ask?
Glad to read you're feeling better and surprised the doctor could give you anything for flu or colds (doctors can be reluctant to give even the anti-virals if you're not just coming down with the flu). Still I hope it takes care of you and gets you back to normal sooner.
I love fall here - not as pretty as back East, but still love those crisp cool sunny days. Great for getting out and walking.
