Mrs Potato Head says a hearty good morning to all our Peeps on this gray, wet day in Stink-a-Stan. She wanted me to tell you all about our fun evening we had last night at:
The Russian circus.

Now before you go and get grand, fairy plum visions of dancing bears and Lipizzaner prancing horses let me just burst your bubble now. Ok. Now that you are thinking more of muted fun, we're on the same level.
This was a 5 man act; 3 men and 2 women. That's it. They sold the cheap plastic crap from China before the show, set up the stage props- AND were the act. That was my first clue that this was a small time deal. Lady #1 was a dancer, hula hoop hooper (which was by far my favorite act of hers), doggy trainer, parrot keeper, and helper to Mr. Amazing Feats Man.
Lady #2 was suspended hoop contortionist (sort of), helper to Mr. Amazing Feats Man, and a dancer.
Mr. Amazing Feats man was a glass walker, sword walker, dancer, magic trick maker, and prop dude.
The other 2 guys were the clowns who juggled (I admit I was pretty impressed with this!) did your requisite fart humor, (oops, now that I think about it, THIS was my favorite act of all, and thought of all of you, wishing you could be there to share these golden moments with me.), inuendo stuff, that I wish they'd have left out since my kids were there, and water gags.
There were also guest appearances from a huge snake that my daughter still brags about getting to touch- she thought that was the coolest thing ever-, a parrot, 2 dancing dogs, and a monkey. When the parrot flew over us, I was more than a little thankful that it didnt' poop on my head, and was disappointed at the monkey thing, as we've seen the real deal in Thailand. It's more fun to see them not a chain.
It wasn't a bad deal I think for $50 bucks for 4 front row seat tickets. We get to see one about once a year here, and we enjoy it every time. Small town stuff, yeah, but better than sitting at home. Plus it reminded me of the possibility that Cirque really is going to be a reality for the TC3 in Sept. maroo and I sat up til 3 in the morning the other night talking all about our trip. We got a bunch of scheduling stuff worked out, and GUESS what?! We're leaving a night open for this! Whooopee!!!
