You have a good memory Liesa..pretty detailed for something that happened awhile ago.
Had you been scared to death and praying not to see an aligator or snake...they would have been everywhere!
I think I remember something about that in the bible.......or was it murphey's law?
Was the Westside there yet?

Trust me. The detailed memory thing goes south- far south- soon after this... DTD made a heap of a bigger impression on me than the parks did.
I am scanning thru some of first post !!! So have a little more of an idea !!Tere is a possibility that I will be going in September too!! If so it would be 9/14 thru 9/23 !! Would we overlap ( haven't gotten to the dates part yet) ???????
Wow..you have a great memory Leisa!
too cute!
It's amazing how many people are now taking pictures with their tongues out...all because of Jordie.
She wasn't persuaded at all, it just happened.
I imagine that's what Jordan said the morning after his drunk story...![]()
I think our trip is the 5th- 13th. So we'd only miss by 1 day!!!If your dates aren't set in stone, you could try to overlap!! I'd be thrilled beyond belief to have a meet with you!!!
HA!!! It all goes downhill from here...
Going now to see if my last guess was right...
Congrats! Having been to several commissioning ceremonies here, I feel the urge to say the pledge and eat cake. This month we're being COMMISSIONED!!! That's right. This month we are officers!!! Better pay, better housing, and ACCESS TO THE OFFICER'S CLUB! Grey Goosies all around. Or Lapus if you prefer... (or Diet Coke if you'd rather be the designated tour guide)
LOVE me some Excel.Excel is a great tool to hash out the details.
But the definition also talks about "indirect fire". That my friends is reserved for the balcony- or for anyone who tries to cut in front of us while waiting for Spectro- in which case it will NOT be very "indirect fire" at all. It will be a blast from our most crafty Casey's weaponry array.
I did! Be still my hungry heart! I now have my first official snack item on the list for our next trip. (Whenever that may be.)I saw it on the "approved snack list", and immediately added it to my spreadsheet!!Thanks!! (GB, did you see this??!!)
HA! Funny thing is, I did eat all that (except the baked beans- they were pureed) this weekend. My house was definitely the Casa del Roaring Thunder.
I can also confirm that Florida grows some of the largest and scariest roachy-looking things ever to roam God's green earth on 6 legs. These beasts of lore and fame- the ever-present Palmetto Bugs- were everywhere in plague proportions! I remember thinking that Moses was possibly calling down the 11th disaster on Narcoosee Rd.
Woohoo! My dad had heard about this "place" called Downtown Disney, so he suggested we head over there to see what it was all about. I'd never heard of it before, but just having the word "Disney" trailing at the end of it made me happier than an alligator seeing feet dangling from the surface of a lake.
Ten years ago we were tightwads; well, truth be told we were poor tightwads, so we ate what was "free"ly provided at the Base before heading over to DTD. There would be no Earls, no Fultons, no Raglan Rd. for us. But there would be magic.....
