Suite was clean. A few signs of dust in obscure places but nothing bad if you ask me.

The bed is awsome I tell ya! Hand crafted wood. Wait till ya see the pics! ::yes::

Didn't smell like smoke at all. Suites are NOT smoking optional on this floor. It's the 7th floor (Concierge/VIP floor) and smoking is prohibited. We were just talking about that last night with the staff here.

Like I said, pics are coming once I get back. Sorry ya have to wait. :)

Majestic,

Just wanting your opinion on something. Did you think the Yellowstone Suite was in good shape? Clean, etc.

I know the suites are smoking optional. Did it smell like smoke?

Thanks in advance.

Hope you are having a great trip!

From what I understand, yes. The concierge service is not the floor so much as the service they provide. I would have to agree though....if I pay for concierge, I want to be on the 7th floor!

I am going to PM you my cell #. Let's see if we can hook up when you guys come in. We are leaving the day you arrive. Limo picks us up at WL at 2:30pm.

Hi all! Just wanted to check out my countdown and have a ? for you guys.

If there aren't any concierge rooms and you get concierge access instead, does the upgrade cost the same? My guess is yes, but:confused:

Great pics Majestic! We're all excited here, today I booked the RPDE for hubby!

CMs was ok. Didn't quite thrill me the way I had expected but the character interaction was good and the desert was to die for! Prime rib wasn't too shabby either!

You BET I got up and danced and waived my napkin! I am a kid at heart! ::yes:: :)

On your pictures, there is a room that is just to the south of the center of the lobby..is that room 4077..THAT is the room I want!!
Is there a room 5077?

I was told tonight that Concierge is sold out for the weekend. Not only that, a little bird told me that they are no longer offering an upgrade on the phone. You have to ask for it. Concierge at WL has gotten QUITE popular and in many cases, the little birdy told me, the 7th floor is packed when the rest of the hotel is slow. Sounds like it is going to get tougher and tougher to get a room up here.

Shrug....

Not sure if you know this or not but when you are making pre-stay arrangements you aren't working with the staff IN concierge at WL. You are mostly working with people that do both Poly and WL concierge advanced planning.

They ARE extremely helpfull aren'y they!?!?

CM is a great breakfast. Lots of action, music, and dancing. You will have a blast!

Another tip for yas...I heard from a reliable source that CMs don't ask for confirmation of age for little ones so if they are over 3 and you say they are 2 you can save a few pennies to say the least. Especialy at buffet dinners. Works for me. ::yes::

I requested ressie's for Chef Mickey's Breakfast (our DD will be 2 next week- she's going to LOVE seeing Mickey).

Does anyone else have any suggestions? I was thinking 1900 Park Fair for dinner one night, but my DH was kind iffy about a dinner buffet. Any good places Downtown Disney???
Thanks for all your help!princess:

Thanks for the info.

I thought I read and was told by CRO that all suites are smoking optional. I'm thrilled if they aren't.

I appreciate you taking those pictures. I think I can wait until you get home. :teeth:

Wow! That was fun. Needed a fix. Here I am AT THE LODGE and I am answering questions AND enjoying it! :)

Anyway, here is a short trip report for today.

We started the day LATE. Slept in a few which was nice. Went down to Boma for an AWSOME buffet breakfast. Definately a must do when at the world. Try the pork and an everything omlette. :)

After that we went to Epcot and did all of innoventions plus Renee and I took turns and went into the single rider line for Test Track. First time for each of us. Loved it. Had a great time.

By this time Julia started to get cranky and we knew it was time for a nap. 10 minutes later and a few rocks back and forth, she was out cold. We set her up with a blanket and a small pillow that we made from a fleece sweater and rolled her around in the stroller we rented. Renee and I took advantage of this time to do the World Showcase the way we have always wanted to do. Nice and slow. In and out of the shops. It was great. Wow. So nice. Made a trade for a pin that I have never seen too. It is a locket that has a picture of Walt Disney in it that when you move it shows his older picture and his baby picture. Really cool. #77 of a limited edition. Nice find.

Around 4pm Julia woke up after a nice long 2 hour nap. We made our way to the monorail (did I mention this is the first time in a LONG time we didn't rent a car!!) and took it to the TTC then jumped the resort train to the Poly for dinner at Ohana.

As usual, the dinner there was awsome. They had this new sauce that was made with ginger and celantro and onions that was out of this world! Julia and I did the coconut races and also the hula contest. (No, I did NOT hula. Get the idea out of your heads...hehehehe!)

From there, the magic of the night. At around 7pm, we all made our way down to the docks for a view of Wishes from the Poly over the water. I copped a spot on the dock and sat down. My daughter came up and set right next to me. We covered her up with her all new Mickey Mouse fleece. When the fireworks started Julia asked, "Daddy, where is Tinkerbell?" and I told her that you can't see her but she is the one making all of the magic in the sky for you..." From that point on she kept repeating, "Daddy, look at what tinkerbell is doing for me....it's so beautifull..." in her best kiddy voice. Tears came to my eyes as I realized that a moment I will never forget just happened. They don't happen often folks.

Wishes is TRUELY magical. MUCH better than the older display. Absolutely amazing. I loved it.

We then jumped the boat to the lodge and saw a couple getting off of the Grand One (the huge yacht you can rent....) and headed on back to the lodge. Not before asking if they could give us a quick ride to the lodge on the Grand One. :) ::yes::

Back at the hotel, I did a few shots to wind down in the concierge area. On our way back to the room, I was hanging out and talking with Miguel, Glen, and Andy (all CMs on the floor) when a family walked up to me and asked if I was Majestic. Wow. I was floored. It always amazes me when people walk up and say they know me. Heh. The handle they use is Chipmunk01. They also got an upgrade to a Junior Suite on the 3rd floor. They told me all about how they found my box today and were hoping it was replaced with the new one already so I showed them the new one as they were leaving tomorrow morning. We took pictures and called it a night.

Well, that's about it. More tomorrow!

Greetings to ALL from Wilderness Lodge!!! FC, keep that weather wand going....it's REALLY NICE down here! :)

HAHA HA...Kate ate for free till she was almost 5!!! She was really tiny and no one ever asked!

She also got in the gates till last year free..she sat in her stroller and again, no one ever asked for her ticket, they just opened the gate and let her in...by last February, she was too leggy to even TRY to get her in so she got her annual pass..LOL...oh no, I may have outted myself and the Disney police will get me!

Majestic You are SOOOO luck to be missing all this frigid weather. We had -10 last night, and it looks like a balmy +4 out there right now. Keep the postings coming!
I am home sick today with a nasty cold and cough, but it sure was nice to be able get on and read all the posts at my leisure! I need a sick day more often!
FC I see the weather wand is in fine working order, so maybe you could wave it a little farther north???:sunny:

Tig-girl...congrats on the new tag!!

I think FC needs to wave that wand here as well.....it's wicked cold:(

Fred, thanks for the reports. Your magical moment brought tears to my eyes.....I can actually envision you and Julia sitting right there. What a sweetie!:D ::yes::

....Fred sure picked a GREAT time to be nowhere NEAR NJ!!!! Brr-r-r-r-r-r!

I just wanted to say I have enjoyed reading this thread:D We head down to the WL on the 28th for four nights and then to the AKL for our last night. Last Jan. was our first stay at the WL, it was also our first trip to WDW that we didn't stay at the Polynesian. I was worried because the Polynesian is our favorite having stayed there on 5 different occasions. We were very pleased with our stay, in fact I was glad we were at the WL instead of the Polynesian because it was cold. It was so nice to be in a lodge and have a hot tub.
This will be our last trip at the WL for a long time. My youngest dd is turing 3 on this trip, so unless we want a suite or 2 rooms we will be sticking with the other deluxes :( where it will be cheaper. I was getting use to having the WL be our winter get away and the Polynesian be our summer hang out.

Fred I think that is such a sweet moment you had with you dd:) These people who want to wait until there kids get older are missing out on a lot of magic. My youngest is in love with the princesses. I know I'm going to get teary eyed when she sees Cinderella. This will be her first year where she is really into it. In fact when we took her for her 1st bday trip she screamed in terror over MM at Donald's breakfast at the AK.

I'm also excited for my dh to stay at the WL. He wasn't able to join us with my folks last yr.

mirlow,

I'm so glad you enjoyed the WL, I'm sure your DH will also have a great stay. Be sure you check-out the:

I have a feeling with you and Renee as Julia's parents that she will be one of the lucky few that will always have Magic in her Heart.

Good Evening Everyone!

The weather outside is frightful! And I sit with my chicken soup and box of tissues reading. Hope everyone is well, and I hope we hear from Majestic on his day! Wish I was at The Lodge tonight too!::yes::
