Good Evening Everyone!
Hope everyone is well, and I hope we hear from Majestic on his day!

Well, ask and YE SHALL RECEIVE!!! Here is Day 3!

I should start by mentioning that last night when we got back to our room, there was a gift basket loaded with fruit and a toy bucket loaded with a shovel and lots of cookies and candies for Julia. The card was from the concierge staff. I can't believe it. Was very nice of them. They also recognize me by name and that impresses me. I know we were just here in September but it's so cool. I love this place. Of course, we all know that right??? ::yes::

Today was a busy day but we ran by the seat of our pants so it wasn't TOO bad. I gotta tell ya....I know in the past that I insisted on driving a car and having a rental but we have had a GREAT experience with Disney Transportation this trip! Haven't waited for any rides and we took monorail, boat, and bus!!

We actually started the day out at MGM and went to do Playhouse Disney Live. Julia still gets a kick out of this show and she has seen it 4 times already. Funny too because when the story part was about to start they had a system failure and the show stopped in it's tracks. :) They did a good job of improvising but I think all the kids wondered why Bear stopped talking. :) :)

After that we pretty much walked around and contemplated doing lunch but decided to head on over to the Magic Kingdom and see the Share a Dream Come True parade.

Before the parade, Scoop came down pulling his rolling dogs and pulled me out by my pin lanyard and embarresed me in front of the crowds. :) It was funny I tell ya. Then, he picked Renee and played, "What's my flippin pin!" with her. She was a good sport and ended up winning a rare pin that is only given to guests that promote pin trading. We also got two muppet 3D pins from him. He is really funny. Anyone else had an eperience with Scoop?

It was a great parade even though it started some 25 minutes late! (How odd???) Julia got brought into the dancing 3 seperate times! She loved it. I loved it. Then Julia fell asleep and mom and dad took a nice walk around looking for things to do. We shared an ice cream cone and sat for a while in a nice quiet place between the castle and futureworld.

When Julia woke up we went over to the tommorowland speedway and I let Julia take the wheel. WOW was that fun! She loved it and I mean EVERY minute of it. Daddy of course controlled the throttle and brakes though. :)

Then Mommy took her on the Astro Orbiter. Renee didn't care for it much but Julia loved it. After that, we shopped for a bit then went to find a nice spot to watch Wishes. It was even better up close. I give Disney LOTS of credit for this one. It's a tear jerker every time. Especially when towards the end the little girl sings, 'wishes come true". Very moving for me. Don't know why but I know Disney does and they did it like that for that very effect.

Then, we did what we never did....WE DID A THREE-FER! After closing the MK, we went on over to the TTC and jumped the monorail to Epcot to do dinner in Japan! Renee and I had never done three parks in one day. This was a GREAT experience for us. We did dinner and on the way to the bus, Julia fell asleep.

Alas, that is my story. We are now back at the hotel and relaxing a bit. I AM TIRED! Julia is snoring her butt off and Renee isn't too far behind. :)

More later.

Sounds like a wonderful day Majestic and Family!

The concierge staff is really giving you royal treatment, and that is sooo nice! Makes the stay even more magical for everyone.
The weather must be really nice, judging by the ice cream cone stop.....
Perfect time to be out of the Northeast, that's for sure. Enjoy! :sunny:

...I'm not tearin' up because of the sappy (errr, SWEET) father/daughter moments you've been experiencing lately.....nope, I jes' got some pixie dust in my eye. Yup, THAT'S it, I mean, my allergies been actin' up lately, no it's this dag-blasted cold weather that makes my eyes tear somethin' awful.....aw, shucks, ya GOT me; I just LOVE those MAGICAL MOMENTS!!

Thanks for sharing Magestic! I can NOT wait!! :hyper: Sprinkle some PD...so I can find my way ;)

Isn't it the BEST!!! I too, got totally teary eyed watching the fireworks with Frankie. I would have become a blubbery mess by the end if it weren't for Frankie asking if wishes really do come true. When I told him yes, some wishes do, he started jumping up and down and I heard him saying to himself "I wish for millions of Transformers, I wish for billions of GoBots..." I was laughing hysterically!

It truly does blow FitS away (IMHO)

Only thing I miss is Tinkerbell flying. I don't know if she just didn't fly the nights we were there because it was so darn cold?

Sounds like you are having a really great time Majestic!!!
I can't wait to experience some of that magic in less than 60 days!!!

Hey all you WL upgrade experts! DH and I will be checking in just about 1 week. We are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. Any suggestions on how to go about getting upgraded? Should we fax a request, or just wait till we get there?

HI WL Vets

I was wondering what if anything have you done for Concierge CM's with respect to a tip.

My experience with WL CMs has already been great and I haven't even left home yet. If this keeps up, I will surely want to thank them somehow. Any suggestions

thanks
:wave2:

Ariel...we will be there the same time..Do you have kids...it will be me, my DD (almost 6) and my mom..

Fred:: OMG I am the biggest fan of Scoop Sanderson. I have been going to his pin seminars at Expo Hall for years now. Scoop just had his last talk Jan 1. We (his fans) are writing letters to Disney to get him back with a bigger and better space. I have gotten so many great pics with Scoop. I love the one where he put his glasses and his hat on my DS John Luke and had him hold his dog pull toy "Butterscotch and Licorice" right in the middle of Main St. Great pic..I have to send it to ya. Scoop has the best pin games where you can get some great pins. He also gave out a very rare "Scoop" pin that he designed himself, and a "continuing the tradition" pin when he felt it was a magical moment. I am always amazed how Scoop remembers my DS and my name! Last visit when he saw me he said "Marge, Where ya been, its been too long" Scoop is one of the most wonderful, caring, good will, people person CM Ive ever met. Disney is lucky to have him, he is surly a huge asset. I cant say enough great things about him. MY WDW trip is not complete without talking to Scoop and interacting with him. I was awarded a magnificent cast exclusive castle pin while at Scoops seminar. A CM that s attends his seminars (forgive me for not remembering his name:confused: ) was so overtaken by my enthusiasm towards being at Disney and seeing Scoop that he presented me that magnificent pin (The pin is about 3 1/4" high, triple layered and hand painted cloisonne, its awesome and very rare) at the Seminar. I started to cry and Scoop was telling everyone, "Look Everyone--your witnessing a Magical Moment!!

Fred I love your trip reports and all your magical moments with your DD & DW.

I was wondering the same thing, too!!!:scratchin

Any advice???
Thanks

Another concierge question...

can you request ahead of time to have a little welcome note from Mickey to your child when they arrive at Disney? :earsboy:
I wasn't sure if they did anything like that- and whether or not it's something that you pay extra for?

Thanks!

It is my experience that anything reasonable can and will be done by request. It doesn't hurt to ask. Give it a shot and see what they say!

Day 4 Report....

Today was a slow day. We took advantage of the fact that we had nothing planned and had a relaxing and easy day.

One thing I got knocked out was the replacement of the Wilderness Lodge Memories Box. It's now in version 2.0 and bigger, badder, and SEXIER (uhh...can I use that word in a disney frame of mind????) than it ever was! One word of caution, because of it's new larger size, please make sure that if you go to it, you hide it WELL when you are done to keep others from seeing it. Also, I would advise against going at night since you can't see very well and it would keep you from hiding it to the best of your ability.

The original box was in good condition when I pulled it. It was great to go back and trace out my original steps to get to it. I felt soooo excited that I was going to finally see it again!

It was really cool going through the box. Lots of great things. Lots of great memories. I felt like I was part of every single one. Someone had left me a mickey ear that said there was something for me but I didn't see it. What was it supposed to be?

The pictures are cool to look at as well. How about we all try to add a pic next time you go? Sign it and make sure we know who you are! ::yes:: Lastly, I added a new surprise. Now when you find the box, there is a small bag inside that has some small ticket size momentos for you to take home with you. I won't tell you more about them to keep them a surprise. Oh and someone mentioned the smell in the near vicinity of the box....I agree!! It was awfull! I hope that goes away some time soon! Not sure what it is but it is BAD!

Anyways, I pretty much hung around with my CM friend and Renee and Julia did the pool thing. We also went to dinner at Concourse Steak House and splurged on a great dinner. Missed the boat on the way back but conned .... errr..... talked the manager at the Contemporary into getting me a shuttle to take us over to the lodge on the house. :) Heck, I even pin traded with him before we left. Julia was out cold on my shoulder.

We got back to the hotel and decided to have a drink and relax in the lobby. Julia slept on the sofa while Renee and I soaked in all that is the Lodge for one last night. After about an hour, we decided to call it a night. Gotta pack tomorrow morning and be ready to checkout by 11am. Tiffany is due to pick us up at 2:30pm to head to the airport.

I will try to write once more tomorrow but if not, I will pop in when we get home to the frozen tundra they call the North East. :)

The reality has finally set in. We will be leaving our "home" again tomorrow but hopefully only for a short time. It will be hard to make it out the door when we are leaving for the airport. I really do love this hotel and the concierge staff.

That's all for now I guess.

Fred

Thanks for your trip reports Fred! I've been lovin' 'em!!:D

Luckily we have thawed out a bit since your departure but still nothing like those warm FL temps!

Thanks for 'updating' the 'Memory Box'. DD and I didn't have a chance to find it back in October but we will certain look on our next trip (fingers crossed for December!).

Have a great Sunday all!!

Marge

Looks like your 9/11 pin is now gone, see post from ColetteN, sweet story.

We're outta here and headin' to the Lodge! We're so excited we're all WIDE awake here at 4:00 a.m. :hyper: ! Will post a report when we get back!

P.S. Majestic: I don't think we'll be able to meet up:( . We won't be getting there til about 6-ish, so we'll miss each other. Bummer! Maybe we'll cross paths in the airport!

You planned that well....A "cold" front is headed toward us today and Disney is suppose to get soaked today. In fact, as I type this it looks like you might be getting some Florida famous thunder and lightning right now!!

Glad you had a good trip..I am looking forward to seeing the new memory box.

I can't believe it...2 weeks from today I will be doing my last minute packing and laundry!!

FRED!!!!!!! OH, we need your flight # so we can track your trip home!!

Don't fear Kim...it looks like the weather will be clearing up by 6pm...but it will be cold!! (At least Florida cold)
