Lights! Motor! Asian?--Feb 2010 Part II. 11/6-Pix, part 2. Page 199.

Or bath tub. :D

Ok. So the backstory to this is as follows:

My mom works in a high school library. And she had one student assistant back in 2008 that was just goofy. The student assistant made up an imaginary giraffe named Fred. Fred got into all kinds of trouble at the school and my mom, being the kid at heart she is, always played along.

Needless to say, when mom returned to work with the pictures of Fred, the student assistant collapsed in a fit of giggles. :)

I love the Pooh tatoo on her ankle. That's great! At least I hope it's Pooh, if it's not I'm gonna feel really stupid!

Hi Jordan and fellow Disers, I have been away since May from the internet. Summer is our crazy season at the restaurant with graduations and summer parties. We sold 648 racks of ribs on Fathers Day!
We catered two weddings on June 5th and headed to Disneyworld that night at 10:00. My family of 7 only made it 6 hours when the van we purchased for this trip started acting up. Long story short, we made it to Georgia somewhere in the swamplands and had to rent an SUV for the family and 7 suitcases, 2 coolers, and 7 carry- ons. We had a great trip, but our van is still in Georgia getting repaired! We have to fly down there and drive it home only to sell it!

We did take some pics for Jordan in front of the Chinese laundry/cafe which I will post when I can. I have never been to Disney when it was so busy. We usually go in October or the first week of June-it was hot and busy. Unfortunately, people are reading their guidebooks because arriving before opening was nuts-hour waits and 30 minutes to get a fastpass! We did use our special fps from give a day get a day, which were awesome. I cannot wait to read Fauntelroys Tr to see how he fared that week.

I am glad to be back reading your Tr Jordan, I missed you and your antics so much.

Kathy!!! I'm so glad your back! I hope you'll be able to come and visit us on here once and a while during the busy summer months. Sorry your van broke down, but it sounds like y'all made the best of it!

Haha, that "Fred" picture is so cuuute! Wow, what an imagination. I love being a library assistant in high school. It was the cool thing to hang at the library. And now I'm a librarian! :rotfl:

That's pretty darn cool! I didn't realize you were a librarian.

That's why I smile when I'm somewhere without MY kids and I hear someone else's going berserk. ;)

:goodvibes I know just what you mean, I just smile and keep walking like..."I'm so glad it's not me going through it anymore, but I can appreciate what they're goiiiing throuuuuugh.

This started my morning with a smile.
Too cute! :cutie:

How can that picture NOT make one's morning. :cloud9: Look at that face!! :goodvibes :lovestruc

Kathy! Welcome back! I as thinking of you guys the other day. That's a butt load of ribs to sell in a single shot. But I'm happy to hear busine$$ is good. Can't wait to hear more about your trip. It sounds like it entailed quite an adventure! Nana Biscuit was feeling you pain a week ago. She and Mrs. Collins catered their largest wedding ever and thought they were going to die by the time it was all said and done.

Aunt Jana recently moved to PA, but I have no idea where. I'll try to find out.

Thanks for letting me hijack there Jordy.

Carry on.

Then you'd think my purse is a treasure trove for sure, let's just say it's BIG. To give you an idea of how big....the company calls their bags Chinese Laundry Bag  I'm a true 80's girl, so I like my purse to look more like luggage.

I'm picturing a army issue duffle in my mind now.;)

We would do this too. It's funny to watch my husband a 6'5 man 250 lbs. on the floor flailing about and "throwing a tantrum." :rotfl:

Believe it or not I've never thrown a tantrum....I normally don't get mad (well, other than my last job...:rolleyes1)

That's why I smile when I'm somewhere without MY kids and I hear someone else's going berserk. ;)

It's funny when it's someone else's kids....you can feel their pain....

Too cute! :cutie:

Ashlyn is a cutie.....but she can be a terror too. She by far the most boisterous of the kids....

Anywho! The student assistant told my mom that Fred would be joining us on our Dec 2008 trip to WDW...and that my mom HAD to take pictures of herself and Fred at the parks. So, being the good sport she is (and us being the good sports we are) thought of several good photos to shoot with Fred in them.

When we got to Morocco, we actually walked around the stores and explored the whole little Morocco area. And found the fountain.

In the following picture, my mom is trying to keep Fred from getting in the fountain to take a bath.

Needless to say, when mom returned to work with the pictures of Fred, the student assistant collapsed in a fit of giggles. :)

What a great sport your mom was!

LOVE the picture. I have an imaginary friend too, but her name is Ginger....;):rolleyes1
